I don't really plan on working on Recoome, Captain Ginyu, or Jeice soon, but I never know... It was really satisfying to finish Guldo after all this time, but these guys are all quite a lot of work to do right. Recoome is the one that needs the least work. Jeice and Ginyu both need a lot.

I've been reworking and repairing a custom Yamcha that I bought from sadpanda many, many years ago. He did a really great job on it (which is why I bought it), but I wanted to improve the engineering of the articulation he added to the wrists, make the belt area more stable, shorten the forearms a little bit, sand some of the rougher areas, apply my stickers to him, etc. It's still going to be his fantastic work after all this, but I will also be treating it to one of my fancy paint jobs to some extent. It's just about ready for repainting actually...
I know I bought it from him with extra hands, but I'm not 100% sure where they are right now.

I spent an hour or two sanding last night. On Roshi, I broke the peg I made for his leg by accident, so I had to replace it, so no sanding on him, just drilling and gluing. I got this SS3 Goku out since he was in the same container as Yamcha, and I worked on his neck to make the Giochi Preziosi SS3 Goku head fit it. This one is made from scrap, and I assume I was making it to represent SS3 Goku in the Janemba movie...? I may have to do some searching on here to find out if that's correct. I probably need to put this figure elsewhere if it's supposed to be a big project, because I truly don't care about a large Goku project right now. I'm certainly not working on a battle damaged outfit when I have non-Goku figures to work on. The Saiyan/Namek Saga Yamcha originally by sadpanda got quite a bit of sanding. I didn't like how the neck looked going into his head, so I sanding a lot of material away to improve the way that looks. Areas of rough paint got sanded, and I tried getting his left hand to fit in the forearms a little better. I wanted to check the size of him, so I got out my old Cell Saga Yamcha (that needs a makeover) to check the height, and I think it's pretty good. I went ahead and sanded some areas on him. His entire lower pant legs will need to be resculpted, because they are made of crumbly Sculpey from 20 years ago. And Chaozu got his head and shoulders sanded. Bald characters are some of the worst to work on. Making a head round without any notable dents in it is so difficult and not easy or fun. The worst is when you sand through the Apoxie and expose plastic, because the transition is hard to smooth out. I'm contemplating what I'm going to do about his articulation and paint rub. I might end up coating a lot of him in color-matched Aves Apoxie Sculpt so I won't have to worry about paint wearing away and exposing Gohan's skintone, blue sleeves and shoes, or orange clothing. I haven't done that before... but I do own white and black Apoxie. This body has never been boil and popped, so I likely will not be grinding on the joints to prevent major paint rub issues.

I bought a Mexican bootleg Fat Buu from a local toy show, and he's pretty cool. He has arm and neck articulation. He's going to be very good for turning into Fat Gotenks. Not sure what year I'll actually do that though. There are a lot of figures I would rather finish than these Gotenks customs.

The size of that Buu is perfect for that purpose! great find!

I finally made some time to sculpt on Chaozu and DB Yamcha. I am using 5 year old Aves Fixit sculpt just because it's white. It's a bit old and crusty, but I think it will work after some sanding.

A friend of mine printed a Gregory STL (that I purchased) for me on his 3D printer. He scaled the STL down to 1.5 inches including the height of the antennas. This is a good stand in for now, but I am waiting on a different friend to resin print one for me. The resin one would be a lot higher quality and not need sanding. He moved apartments recently and hasn't set up his resin printer yet. I'm pretty excited and hopeful he'll have one for me soon. I asked him to print extra copies so I could resell them to a few friends on DBF, so if you want one for around $10 + shipping, just reply to this thread that you're interested in one. He's only planning on printing around 5 right now.

Thanks to Ascat, I was able to find a MUCH better body for King Yemma! It's Mr Fixit. I used the WCF head (very difficult to remove), and took Ox King (Clownface)'s hands. I didn't like the size of Hulk's hands. I gave Ox King Maestro's hands. This all took a bit of drilling and work. The hands on Ox King will need some dremeling, but it's better for him to have huge hands than Yemma. I'm not sure what/who to make with the WCF body.
