Well, 4 layers later and here I am. Two layers I thought were too light, two layers I think are too dark. Looks like I need to mix the two colors together and have another two layers in my future. Very difficult, time consuming, precise paint job as always for Goku's boots, just more difficult because of the tiny size.

Good job. Those little lines on little figures take lots of patience.

It's easier to do them the way I am doing them, and what I recommend. Learned this while painting Burter I think. Paint the line color first, then do whatever is around it to make it into a line.

So... I have some really cool and fun news, and didn't know where else to post it! Just by complete fate/luck, I had been emailing back and forth with Aves Studio about some Apoxie Sculpt questions, and several emails into our conversation, Erin mentioned that they are launching a brand new website soon. I told her I was a web designer and if they needed any help or opinions I'd be happy to help. I jokingly said "I'd even work for free product LOL!". And guess what? She said she'd absolutely provide me some free product for providing some help and perspective on their website redesign. And so I spent several hours over the past two days offering suggestions, slight code modifications and other advice in several very longggggg emails, and guess what? She said I helped so much that she was going to send me even more. With my 1 pound of pink Apoxie Sculpt I ordered and paid for, Erin is sending me an additional pound of native colored Apoxie Clay, some Fixit Paste, some Fixit Sculpt, and I think some Aves Safety Solvent! Which for those of you who aren't customizers... that's around at least $40 in freebies! Having good karma and helping people doesn't always LITERALLY reward a person, sometimes it just makes you feel good, but this time it did! I'm so excited. You guys have no idea. I'm going to have enough sculptable material now to last me probably forever! I'll be able to finish all 150 of my customs probably with this material on the way. Now I just have to dedicate myself to spending my free time using it when it arrives!

Well, last night and today have been total BS so far. The base/clamp that holds my customizing light to my table broke, I tried to fix it with multiple crappy products, and I ruined the base by making it into something that smells so toxic that I'm having to throw it away. I just ordered a new clamp for the rip off price of $19 and made a temporary solution that I pray doesn't snap and break or spill figures, paint, and water all over the room. What an ordeal. My entire area smells like a mix of toxic dollar store epoxy putty (might as well be hot tar), liquid nails, silicone adhesive, and now burning wood (because I didn't have a drill bit big enough for the hole I had to make and had to use my dremel to sand the hole larger).

The bootleg real works scale one that came with that Toddler Gohan I wanted. No idea what to do with it. Too small for 5 inch, and it's a crappy bootleg.

Too big for him I am pretty sure. I don't like posed figured either. As soon as I touch up the black paint on his underwear I'll throw him on ebay as a crappy bootleg Nappa.

The series ten hg figures came and are in mint condition to my surprise. Other than some missing stands and the Vegeta and Vegito missing appendages, they're great. It's no wonder it's so common that these figures are missing parts, the pieces do not fit tight. (It sure would have been easier to repaint my Goku's boots if they weren't glued to his legs). I made stands for these by coating their feet in a thin layer of Vaseline and then spending almost an hour making hot glue bases for them on top of a glossy piece of junk mail also coated in some Vaseline. The bases are removable just like the real ones and just as ugly as the legit ones, just not square.

Nappa looks like he's getting a workout in. Screw the clamp, Nappa will be your clamp.
