I think all u have to do is shorten his ankles, they look a little long to me anyway. I've been meaning to ask how do u like the articulation on the piccolo is it better than the ufs piccolo?

No, these dx figures just look like they can pose. The hips aren't even ball jointed, they just look like it!
I think what is wrong is I added too much material to the bottom of the shoes and I haven't gotten the head sunk onto the neck enough.

I like it. The head turned out nice. His brows are a bit thick, but after dropping the head slightly and perhaps sanding a bit off of his shoes, he should be close enough in height. Despite the DX Piccolo not having the articulation one might expect, I think it is a better looking Piccolo than the Jakks. Only UFS is better overall.

  These are some works in progress for me now since the previous owner thought it was a great idea to super glue the bases to the figures. :rolleyes: |

Yeah, but I got that entire group for the price the Goku alone normally sells for, so it's not too bad. After seeing cracker's picture that there was another release of this Goku with darker boots, I kind of wanted to repaint the boots a slightly darker color of blue with yellow lines and red laces anyway. Ironic that I am now forced to.  ^^ These blues are all the same blue. I'll just do the boots darker blue like they sometimes appear most likely.  Or maybe I'll match the blue. Who knows? I don't decide anything until I do it.  Sucks to be forced to do it, but meh. |

Maaaaaan, that is crappy that the seller glued the bases to the figures. Annoying that you'll have to repaint it, but at least it's not too much work. Plus, after you paint it you'll probably end up with a figure that you're happier with.

Knowing me, I'd want the boot lines yellow and laces red at least anyway.
The Gohan though... just more work to do, because I have no plans to keep him. Going to sand and repaint him just to get him on eBay. I'd use him for a Yamcha if he was taller and didn't have sleeves... or an outstretched arm.

 Well, an hour and 45 minutes of sanding and paint blending and I am here. The orange matches really well and I have enough base coats of yellow on Goku's boots to just do one more tomorrow and then do other colors. Can someone do me a favor and load up their history of trunks DVD and provide me a screenshot of his shoes? The 5 figures released of future Gohan all have different colored shoes and I don't know what is right. I think they might be charcoal with gray accents and red string, but I really want to see movie proof if somebody will help me out. |
