Great work on the new gashapon stands. What an awesome idea for replacements.

They're lumpy and ugly, but do the trick. I actually like them better than the legit bases, because those legit ones are enormous.

I'm going to mold some custom stands for some of the Unifive Shenron Wish figures with a an epoxy that I have, when dry it's similar to glass.

Interesting.
For clear poles you can buy acrylic rods. They can't be cut with scissors or wire cutters though, they have to be cut by a saw, or even better, by a dremel with the cutting disk on it.
Clear resin is widely available, but it requires the use of a mold, so you have to sculpt the stand out of clay, make a mold out of whatever material molds are made out of, then mix and pour the resin into the mold. I hate molding, it's expensive.
Is the epoxy you have a liquid, or a solid like a putty/clay? I use a clear epoxy as a glue on many figures. It's a lot stronger than super glue. Unfortunately it yellows over time, so if I used it to make stands, they would turn transparent yellow after a few weeks/months. Hot glue is nice because you can use Vaseline to prevent the glue from sticking and it remains rubbery. Epoxy will still stick despite Vaseline in my experiences, and it's sort of rubbery, but not really.
Clear silicone gasket maker for cars can be used, but it smells horrible, so I haven't experimented with it on figures. I've only used it for sealing headlights back together on cars.

Well I have no need for rods though. The material that I have is made by a liquid substance that is mixed with a harden material. I have a silicone mold for what I want to do.

Make sure to find out if you require a mold release. Epoxy is really sticky, and will likely even stick to the silicone mold, potentially ruining it.
The stuff we used to use in art class for mold release was called "colloidal silica" but Murphy's Oil Soap also worked. We were using plaster though.

The fixit paste is mainly used for fixing cracks, in broken ceramic stuff I think. The fixit sculpt has a longer working time than apoxie and is supposed to be really stiff and not sag, so I will probably use it for a tail or cape or something where sagging is a major problem.

I got whatever these are called in the mail the other day (king Piccolo as well), and I thought the stands were stupid and I didn't want to try to resell the extra figures. But I realized they were popy size, I had bases from adrenaline beheading some, and I could definitely use the Goku figures for that! The Roshi I went ahead and did the same way too for lack of anything else to do with him, but he's a bit tall. The Goku ones look legit! Korin I am customizing so he can stand and stuff. Didn't plan on it, but he will be easy. I just need to wait for this stuff to dry and I can make him fatter another day to cover up stuff. So it looks like I have three nearly finished works in progress for DB right now. Oh, and everybody say hello to Bulma and Goku .

Bulma is freakin awesome. Great work on her face. The skirt is pretty good, just too thick. I would have ditched Goku's white stand for scene stealers lol The new "popys" look perfect and what do you mean make Korin fatter another day? Get it done!
