Chasing figures for customs is fine. Just think of the money you put down as a way of paying for the final result. Very worth it. Here is the CP Chiaotzu  |

They can be very difficult to find these days. I will let you know if I see a Chaozu. I have an Oolong I can sell you if you want him in the green hat he wore in DB. You'd need to get a DWC oolong (search "dragonball pcs" and sort from cheapest to most expensive and you'll probably see a set for about $9 to $16.) for the body. I have that finished custom in my finished custom topic somewhat recently.  |

at the moment im not too bothered about anything else ... I just want to hopefully get a chiaotzu done
im not going to go all out and do this right away, like I did with my other customs, but for now here is my very progressed, progress pic so far!!...

I think you should pose them like in that pic -  and put the super saiyans above them using the stands. but that's only my thought (and the way I was planning to pose them  ) so you could do whatever you want |

yes I could do gotenks... good idea with the other super saiyans I hadn't thought of that ...I could just about pull it off with bootlegs I think as I haven't got doubles of the official super saiyans apart from Goku. its strange that I haven't posed them like the pic seeing as that is the pic that I and i'm sure a lot of us want to be able to achieve.. however I just can't be bothered at the moment! just having them at all is good enough for me maybe when I finish chiaotzu I will... |

I love all of your customs, especially that Gohan! It's amazing to see what you did with the base figure. The Yamcha looks spot on, too. For your shirtless Goku, have you thought about using the Figuarts Kinnikuman for the chest and arms? They're listed as being close in height, so it might work. I was toying with the idea of using it for a Tien custom. Can't wait to see what you do next! |

thank you jonmichael  shirtless Goku is on the back burner for a while but yeah I had considered the Kinnikuman but I wasn't too sure how it will scale with Goku... my initial guess was it looks like it might be slightly big even for Tien.. I mean Tien's buff, but Kinnikuman is super buff, like He-Man buff!! ha, but don't listen to me im just bitter because I had to sculpt Tien's damn arms shoulder and chest! im honestly not sure how the Kinnikuman will look until someone has them in hand to compare, and i'm sure a lot of people are thinking similarly of using it in someway for DBZ.. I am tempted to order one but ive got to cut down on buying figures (especially ones I might not even use!) so i'm holding out on it. |

I think they are both the same height, but yeah...it might be way too buff. Lol. I think I saw someone use the revoltech Kinnikuman for Goku, the older normal sized one not the new mini one. If the price isn't too bad, that could be another option.

if the goku and kinnikuman figures are the same height it will be interesting to see if they work well....
anyway here is the genesis of Chiaotzu
I used a bootleg gohan face to mould onto, but it was 99.9% pointless as it just got lost under way more putty and pretty much accomplished nothing! I could have used a bit of cardboard and it would have done the same job, probably
anyway...
trying to mould the whole head at first was a no go
