OK so this is bitter sweet because no sooner had I 95% finished this I find out they are reissuing SS Gohan  .. which is cool, but I wish theyd done it 6months earlier and then I could have used that instead of a flippin bootleg!!!
so using the boot I had to try to articulate it a bit better with revoltech joints but it didn't go as well as I would have liked(its all about angles with those damn things), however im not too bothered as it will probably just stay in the same pose for ages anyway!
anyway all that aside here is android saga Gohan...
well, first heres a WIP pic to show I tried to get a more accurate height ( I posted more WIPs of the sculpt previously)

wow, thanks edison that's a great compliment as I must say that your own work is amazing, and deffinately inspired me to have a go at customising figuarts myself so thank you.

it was hard trying to get the scale correct, I kept having to take more and more off, that's why I posted the WIP pic to show the difference between it and SS gohan , my main objective was to get the top of gohans face to the level of the bottom of Krillins eyes as i'm sure that's how it is just before they meet the androids, I know Krillins not perfet scale to begin with, but hey I can only work with what ive got !  for comparison here's a group shot I took ...

yes that's a little addition I made ... I don't like gokus slap head , personally I think the spikes are too far apart so I put an extra spike in, its probably gone wonky when changing faces, its only made out of black tie wire. |

well im not doing anything to krillin i'm afraid gotenks, way too much messing to try and shrink his body for the sake of a cm or so, id like to shrink his head I suppose but its too much hassle...
not sure which film that pic is from but the gohan I did is from the android saga just before they meet the first androids which is after 3 years of training, so Gohan has grown in height and grown a mullet and spikier hair...

well if that's what you aimed for than you're fine. but I think you should try to do a "custom" of krillin in the right size. I've never seen anyone doing that.

You officially have the best figuarts collection on here. I love that android saga Gohan!
Want to make the collection even better? Get a Jakks kid Gohan (the one that comes with Shenron or another release) and make Chaozu. That body is heavily articulated and will fit right in. Don't use the hscf head though. I hate that head lol. Well, I guess you can, but the head is huge!
If your Vegeta is a bootleg, it would be cool if you shortened his arms and legs to make him the proper height.

I like the Android Saga Gohan with the bigger eyed head. Good job on him 9/10. Agree with Bran. With the addition of this Gohan, you almost have the first whole team from one particular saga! But you need Chiaotzu asap....and then throw in an Irwin Yajirobe and it's done. Try and find the Chara Puchi head for Chiaotzu and use the body Bran suggested. For shortening Krillin and Vegeta, only do it if you want, but the fact they're legit figures, it's probably not worth the trouble.....although you did lengthen Piccolo and that's tougher than shortening.

haha Thanks Branjita yeah im quite happy with my collection now ... it certainly beats my old z fighter set of elfin model kits! ( don't know if you remember those I posted when I first started my thread)
I appreciate what you and Adrenaline are saying ( thanks for the 9/10 ! nice one )...
as for shortening Vegeta - that one in the pic is the real deal so its a no go with him.. I have datongs but I think i'd rather use or display them for other things, but maybe one day i'll get the urge...
its funny that the proper bootleg Vegeta (not datong) I have is the right size - I guess the moulding process shrunk him to be that bit smaller but its not so good to display with the others..
as for Krillin looking at him again I think it would be quite hard to shrink... you've got to remember that you need to accommodate the joints and joint pegs etc so shortening limbs is a risky buisness..also the peg inside the torso may cause a problem if youre trying to shrink the abdomen...I 'd like to give it a go but not willing to risk a major F up with it..
and yes of course I hadn't forgot poor old chiaotzu... ive thought of various things I could do but im not too sure I fancy chasing after other figures ... im not paying a load for an old figure just to hack up.. i'm intrigued by the chara pucchi head do you have any pictures??
at first I thought of using a hybrid action figure ss gohan buut there was something about the body shape that was off ( ididnt use that for gohan for the same reasons and scale...) and then I sold it on ebay anyway!
then I was just going to hack the hscf boots arms off and make new ones, as the ones he has are a bit wonky, and chop his head off and either shrink it or just start from scratch with some apoxie...
alternatively if im really bothered by the scale and not ultra bothered by articulation ( which for Chiaotzu i'm not) I'm thinking now that I might just sculpt the whole body...
I mean this hscf isn't really that amazing - with the practice ive had on the figuarts ive done im sure I could sculpt something as good as it but in a bigger size.....
haha , listen to me - the power is going to my head!- now watch me attempt it and make an epic fail !!!
TBH I don't know if i'll do it just yet as i'm a bit customised out!
