You might be onto something there. I just highly suggest you round out the top of his head and then he should be good. Can we see a side angle?

thanks Adrenaline , yeah im going to round off the head for sure ... this is just the face at the moment, ive marked off where his hat is going to start...

Thanks he's pretty much stalled over christmas though. ive done an inital torso but its very, very basic at the moment, dont know when i'll get him finished!! |

another WIP still A LOT of refining and sculpting to do but im working on the main structure for now what will be the hardest is the next bit - the hip joints various ways i could approach this and im sure none of them will be perfect! but i'll give it a go.. at least he has some sort of a torso ! yeah but i'd be shortchanging myself, as thing is the hours put in really arent equal to what i could sensibly ask to charge... e.g if i were to sell Tien i 'd want at the very least $500 to cover the hours i put in, there cant be many people willing to part with that kinda cash. i think i could do stuff somewhat faster now, but this Chiaotzu is hard because its 99% from scratch, and im trying to articulate it aswell which is a slight pain in the DB's!!!  |

Yeah, customizing is a labor of love. I once said I'd have to sell my Burter custom for $2000 to feel like I would get paid just "ok" for the amount of work. But you know what? I would much rather have him than $2k, as I feel like the number of hours I put into making him exceeded that by a lot.

exactly Branjita . TBH 2K is probably closer to what i'd want to ask for Tien!! and maybe a grand for Yamcha!!! (not as much work as Tien was) as i said before those two were my first figuarts customs and first projects for years and so they took me ages to do must have been 2 - 3 months... they really were a learning process aswell but i lost count of the hours i put in on them, i think theres at least 3hours on each of the ankle warmers on Tien alone as i sculpted and resculpted them again and again but thanks to that learning process i can sculpt faster now - thankfully! |

well now!- seeing as i seem to be finding less time to put into stuff, ive decided that for now my articulated Chiaotzu is just going to take far too long to finish properly (and i'm not 100% happy with his size - last thing i did was his hip joints and i havent done the legs yet but i'm guesstimating he'd be no shorter than my custom gohans shoulders. which i dont think is too massive and could work for how he was at the end of DB but in DBZ he just seems to be dwarfed by the others in most scenes, therefore i dont want to complete it and not be happy with the size, so the project is a bit in the air at the moment ) and SO i went back to my original plan which was to use the hscf bootlegs body and stick my sculpted head on it - much easier than the other plan! so thats what i did with a bit of work on the arms,feet and sash plus a new paint job.. before  after  + Tien  much easier!!! |
