Hi all
here i'm going to show my modified and customised stuff, maybe some things from the past, WIP's and finished stuff I want to do in the future ....
first off is some of the Figuarts eyes job!
I mostly hate the way the figuarts angry faces are always looking to the side - it may work in about one pose but honestly they should just be facing frakkin forwards!!!!!!!
so heres the finished mods on normal Goku's eyes and boot Vegetas angry face and the first Krillin head aswell...
edit: ha ha man I hate how stuff looks close up on screen!!! the outline of the eyes was all good up until theend and I dropped the ball but I still think it looks better in person looking forward , so i'm happy! (for now!)

Do you plan on changing the forward looking bootleg Vegeta's eyes? If you like them, that's great, but if you change them, I'd like to see them smaller, like how you did with the angry face.

time to take it back to the old school... before these glorious days of SH Figuarts etc, we had the super battle collection, Irwin, jakks and the garage kits of which elfin ripped off and I bought as these were the only DBZ things I could get for a while before I could get anything from the net... anyways this was my DBZ display for a while as I really wanted the Z fighters in the scale I started collecting to begin with, I just found this old picture of my customised kits I thought I would share with you all... . from left to right... Mr.PoPo - built from scratch Future Trunks - elfin kit untouched Vegeta - elfin kit untouched Yamcha - just an older Gohan painted different King kai - Irwin figure untouched Tien - customised from a Piccolo elfin kit Chiaotzu - customised SBC gohan Goku - customised from a super saiyan Goku elfin kit as strangely there was no normal goku kit available!! Krillin - customised from a goten elfin kit Picollo - customised from - you guessed it - a piccolo elfin kit - (made taller and added cape and turban) Chi Chi - most poorly customised from a Irwin figure trying to be more in scale with the rest ... Master Roshi and turtle - cant remember but im guessing a modified Irwin figure of Roshi Future Trunks wife beater style - elfin kit untouched the quality isn't the best but it must be at least 15 years ago now and at the time it was the best I could manage!!!... Those are pretty awesome!! Model kit customs are not easy! Putting the kits together is hard enough since they are hollow, have to be trimmed, and have horrible instructions usually, so you end up over cutting something and then can't figure out how you're going to glue it to the other part, because every stupid thing is hollow I have some SOL kits I never finished, and the arms always gave me trouble, because once you trimmed them, it was questionable what tiny edge of the remaining shoulder actually made contact with the torso! I did mine before epoxy putty for sculpting was available easily, and even with that it's probably still a pain in the butt to have to fix stuff just because the edges aren't perfectly made to fit together flush. Nothing is fast with those kits and they are a true test of patience, which I have very little of when it comes to glue fumes.

Those are pretty awesome!! Model kit customs are not easy! Thanks dude.. yeah they are a bit of a challenge, and the instructions that were crap and in Korean I think didn't help, but I got used to building them at the time... you quickly learn that a scalpel and milliput is your friend with those things.... that or you are constantly repairing because something you glued fell off!!! I remember I used a tonne of milliput on Picollo's waist to make him taller and for his cape - it ended up being quite heavy, kind of like in the manga/anime when he drops it on the ground! ah you see -my attention to detail is just that good !!

Heres my next minor SHF modification… Another minor detail that was annoying me was what I like to call ‘'Goku's slaphead’’ To me there's a little too much space between those spikes over his forehead… Attachment DeletedSo to remedy this I have used some blutack on his fringe piece and a bit of that bendy black wire you get on stuff when you buy an electronic gizmo, cut into a spikey shape… Attachment Deletedand voila… Attachment DeletedGoku’s now waving goodbye to his slaphead!

I really like those old customs. Back in those days, it was all we could do. I still remember making Tien out of a SBC SSGoku without his hair and Android 17 from an AB Buu Saga Krillin lol
I think the Figuarts Goku hair was better before, but nice to see you care about such detail.

BUT then again I think we grow to like it really!! you must do judging on the amount of customization you've done - I just took a look at your customs page!! woah... kudos to you my friend!!! Thanks for the comment Adrenaline... i'm hoping that I can pull off my future customs to satisfy my own attention to detail- but only time will tell!!
