Will we ever get DBZ figures in the vein of Jakks and Irwin again? That's hard to say. We'd have to see DBZ regain the momentum and popularity it was seeing during the Irwin/Jakks era. Is it impossible? No. Is it likely? Probably not. There IS hope, as Battle of the Gods did well internationally and saw a limited theatrical release state side. If the next upcoming movie does especially well and sees a larger theatrical release in the USA then we might see some figures released state side to help promote the film. That'd be something I know most users here would buy, if they were of quality, of course. TL;DR: We can only hope. |

Gosh, how disappointing would it be if the figures sucked? Do any of you remember when the live action Speed Racer movie came out? The figures and all the toys were awful looking and awful in quality. Bandai kind of did that with Ultimate Collection or whatever it was called when Jakks stopped making figures. 95% of the people on DBT were pissed about the figures Bandai was making. They were GI Joe sized and compared to Irwin/Jakks they looked like Happy Meal toys.
I hope some 5 inch mildly articulated, affordable figures get made to extend into my existing 5 inch figure collection.

If Dragon Ball starts back up with regularly released new material then I don't see why not. If they release new movies every year or two or go as far as to release a new series.. we might just see a renaissance of the franchise and thusly new figures. I'd be pretty excited, but my wallet would be hurting. Hahaha.

They are out now I just picked up SS Goku, Perfect Cell, Vegeta, and regular Goku. Check your local hot topic they are only recieving small amounts for some reason. I still need Piccolo and Frieza. It depends on what states in the US. Certain states carry them and others don't. As of yet, nothing in NY or NJ and I've checked plenty of Hot Topic stores to know. They didn't even receive a shipment yet and it's September 4th now. |

I'm only interested in purchasing the Frieza from this set. I'll just wait till I can pick it up from the four local shops where I'm at. |

Vegeta is definitely my favorite from the set, the scouter just sets him apart. It doesn't hurt that he's my favorite character of all time.

I tried another custom it's Vegito I think it came out ok. I don't have the artistic talent like others do but I try. I have some other ideas some day I'll try to make Krillin, Turles, Bardock, Gohan, and maybe Trunks  |
