I would like to help you but I suck at explaining lol, I do this on all my figuarts customs and I have no single paint rub on the highlighted you put on. The joint is another story, it takes a lot work to get it right. I never put glue on the joints because what your doing is adding another layer. What I do is sand them with my dremmel carefully then I apply THIN coats of paint. Once it dry up, move the joints and if there's still paint rubbing repeat the step. When sanding joints using dremmel you have to be carefull and steady because you don't want to accidentally dremmel the joints too much and end up breaking it. Never happened to me but it's possible. The highlighted you put on, I never sand them except the top of the lower pants. I will try and take a pictures and maybe it can give you an idea how I work on mine.

Okay here is an example how I do on my custom. On the first picture there's a comparison the right side is the normal look and the left is the one I dremeled. An the two other pictures is how it look from the front and back. Now you don't have to do this and you can just leave it the way in original and apply glue but I don't know if it's still goin to stop the paint rubbing or if the glue is strong enought to take the rubbing.

Here is the glue I am using now, I used to use krazy glue brush but for me this is more stronger. Also just like bran said if your workin with glue make sure to use mask and googles. Make sure when or if you decide to get one get the one that said "brush-on".

IDK how helpful this is, but this is what it looks like when you do the super glue coating on top of paint and spread with a toothpick. I only did King Piccolo's neck where his chin and the rest of his head rubs. When I put clear on it tonight you will barely know there was any shiny glue there. I skipped doing the process on the top of his arms where they rub a little on his shirt and I hope to not regret it. You can already see a little bit has been removed on his right arm.

Yes basically paint let it dry then apply the glue and the last step is to use paint matte sealer to take away the glossiness of the glue. So me and bran have pretty much same advice we are giving you just be carefull and remember it's on your own risk. You can also ask eloth, Juan, 1andonly, comic custom, Ichigo and Iamreaper because they've worked with figuarts before. Sorry if I missed someone. But yeah they might have different technique so it's always good to have different advice. Also one thing I have to warned you, I don't know what method you do when disassembling these figures but when I do disassemble I always use hot water. So I was workin on one custom one time and I disaasemble it using hot water, paint it after, once the paint dried I applied glue, once the glue dried I assembled it with hot water and the paint and glue turned out ugly. So lesson learned, don't ever dip glue in hot water even if it's dry. So now once I paint the figure I assemble it and retouch with paint and then once everything is good to go I apply the glue then the matte sealer as for the last step. Hope that make sense.

If you need to heat something after you've painted it, in order to put it back together, you can use a hair dryer. The type of clear I use will turn milky white if put in boiled/heated water so I always use a hair dryer when heating plastic so I can put an arm peg back in. I usually use some vaseline on the peg to make sure it goes in easily.

It was worth it. Absolutely incredible! The paint job is fantastic! I would really like to do that, but I'd probably mess it up. Keep up the awesome work!

Keep up the awesome work! Thanks Vedreta and Bane, im glad people like it Bane your gif reminds me that even though its not essential for Z, I would like to maybe make a Power pole for Goku, but that's just another little job I cant deal with at the moment!! maybe in the future...

thanks branjita...y know I would never have even thought to have looked for something like that on ebay or anywhere else... I would probably just see what I could find lying around and try n use that or make one from putty... but it would be cool to have a properly made bit of plastic but i'll have to look for UK sellers as the shipping is ridiculous out of the USA!
