glad you all like them...
I had to do this cause I was watching DBZ kai and cell vs Piccolo when he powers up inspired me, also on the intro gohan chilling on the lookout, cape blowing in the wind, looked cool, so a new cloth project was born!!
i'll try to take some more pics sometime, but really the Piccolo one wants doing again - he was the guinea pig!
I set off with an idea but no method to what the heck I was doing so just freestyled it...
basically
cut off the length of the original cape
putty some flexible wire to the back of it
wrap cloth around it all
pose it and take cool pics
simple as that (well it didn't seem quite so simple when I first did it!!)

You could have probably even boiled the original capes and shaped them into place, then freeze them.

You could have probably even boiled the original capes and shaped them into place, then freeze them. interesting idea! but I wanted to change the capes as and when I liked, so your idea would be a bit laborious to do everytime!  oh and of course I had to do the plastic and cloth thing! one tip for anyone who might attempt it .. make the cape bigger than what you think it should be, as it somehow shrinks! obviously a curved shape pulled straight is longer so you need to allow for waves in the cloth. even though its not really bad, I do wish I had done Piccolos cape bigger , that's why im tempted to go back to it and try to perfect it, I made Gohans bigger than I would have originally and that turned out better. |

Great job adz. What color did u use and who makes it? Or did u have to mix it to get that color cuz it's damn near perfect.

I like painting all of my SS customs with bleach blonde colored hair too. It isn't accurate for most parts of the anime, but I don't care! Looks the best!

Looks the best! haha, its just another inconsistent thing in DBZ it appears a little then disappears again, then things change when they power up and then powered up, but not powering up ... aggh, its alittle confusing isn't it!, but the platinum really does feature in the cell saga especially when goku and gohan come out of the hyperbolic time chamber and stay saiyan... that's why I wanted platinum for the smiley face because that's when gokus chillin in super saiyan... Great job adz. What color did u use and who makes it? Or did u have to mix it to get that color cuz it's damn near perfect. thanks. yeah I had to mix it myself, not that hard just predominantly white with a little yellow, I tried to get a good match so I looked at frames from the anime and it really is quite white on there! |

Either yellow works based on their aura existence or not. The lighter yellow looks best though and you did a fantastic job on it.
