(which may come to bite me on the ass once I start doing more involved customisations!!) even though there isnt much of it, painting it took longer than I thought! |

seeing the 'Dimension of DRAGON BALL ' statues with their cloth clothes on reminded me I haven't posted this here yet... my custom clothes for the medicom RAH Super Saiyan Goku...I had to give him the just gone super saiyan look!! I could not bring myself to cut up the gi that he came with so I hit ebay, found some cloth I thought would be a good colour and made his trousers myself aswell as the shirt, wrist bands and belt... the trousers were a lot harder than I thought but I think it was worth it... Next up I’m going to be doing a bit of work on my Picollo SHF Bootlegg I got this a while ago and have been wanting to do something with it so here goes… What I’m doing is basically creating a figure just to stay in one pose – if you look to the left thats what I’m going for! (piccolo meditating – I’ll just say it incase I change it in the future) …. So first off EYES!! They need to be closed so – Attachment Deletednow because its a bootlegg theres no articulation under the shoulders meaning his upper arms wont move, so his arms wont fold inwards very well…to remedy this ive got to chop poor old Piccolo’s arms off… Attachment Deletedby drilling a hole in the shoulder and arm and then sticking in some plastic tube from a tipex (white out) applicator our Namekian friend now has more articulation potential as it was quite limited before... only problem now is the gaping holes at the top of the arms and the holes where his bootleg joints are connected to the forearm… Attachment Deletedbut I only thought about bothering to do that after I had painted them!... Attachment Deletedso after replacing the bootleg cape with a spare official one, some more painting to the sash, arms and boots, and doing some shading with the infamous illustration pens on his gi, we have the finished product of this – Attachment DeletedThe picture really doesn’t show how pink his arm bits are! I used a neon pink in the paint mix and it is kind of bright to see in person!! I like it though… Overall I’m pleased with it… it only cost me 6 quid and a bit of time and effort! |

That's actually really awesome, adz. Perfect pose for Piccolo. My only complaint are the eyes...look a little rugged, like they were ripped out instead lol, but they just need some flattening. He's really cool though! Good job 9.5/10

He does look a bit scarred, or like he has a lot of skin on his eyelids, or as if he’s been up for a week with no sleep and finally shut his eyes at last! Actually, because I didn’t know how it would look I cheated and used blu tack instead of putty first to see how it would look, and I just ended up painting over them and left it… lazy me.. again close up shots really do show flaws as I cant tell from far away while he’s sat on my shelf so im in no rush to do them properly – but maybe some day! Ive got some other stuff I want to do first… |
