Finally!
I've been waiting for news like this for a while. Funko Pop doesn't seem to do anime figures, and I'm a fan of their stuff. I have a couple of their Walking Dead figures.

I agree. I'm pretty sure some guy that I talked to on US Amazon got a Ver. 2 Bootleg of this for $240. So sucks to be him.
$90 is not that bad, it's actually pretty cheap, and I didn't even have to pay shipping. But it still sucks because that was $90. And considering that I lost my job three days after I purchased it, it's kinda disheartening at this time.

Sorry about the double post, but I just wanted to say that I ended up taking the lemon that I got and made lemonade. I painted the figure to have blood on it. He looks pretty cool:

Since I'm on my computer and looking at the pics M5 posted... it seems like the easiest way to tell legit vs. bootleg is that the bootleg's ki auras by the feet aren't completely transparent. And... unless you have a closeup of them (since the box blocks them) that isn't too useful unfortunately. It sucks to have to rely on a sticker. Then again, the bootleg looks pretty badass anyway. It is pretty badass. Either way, it's still a cool figure. If you can find it for cheap, I'd recommend buying it. It looks real from more than 5 feet away. I've also seen the resin copy of it, and was wondering if they sold just the base. The base is completely different on the resin copy, and far more interesting than the authentic ones. It's actually sculpted to look like the ground. I ran into a guy on Amazon that had the same problems I did with mine with his Version 2, and because of this, he gave it a 3/5. I just told him that it's unfortunate that his is probably a bootleg too, but he spent over 200 on his, so I feel that I got lucky.

This is extremely disappointing news. But thanks anyway guys. I was hoping it wasn't, but what can you do? I'm more mad that I spent $90 on it. Oh well. BranjitaIt's hard PVC, just like the real figure, and it doesn't smell. I'll probably make a video review of the Bootleg, just so others don't make the same mistake I did. Afterward, I'll probably just fix up the paint job, and perhaps try to re-assemble the hair straight. It's still an incredible figure, it just sucks that it's not real. When life hands you lemons, you make lemonade, right?

No it didn't, but I don't believe the Chinese distributed ones do anyway.
And I know what the Bootleg looks like (it's a resin, like many other bootlegs), so I know it's not that.
If it is a bootleg, I would absolutely cry. I blew $90 on it, which is only slightly above original retail price, but it still sucks.

I am Ketchup Revenge. I'm a huge Dragon Ball fan and a more recent collector of figures, and I'm a member on two other DB forums, however, talking to people there about figures is like talking to a brick wall. I'm clearly the most educated person about figures there, which is sad because I don't know that much and am a fairly recent collector (as in the past year) or so.

Hey guys. I'm new here, and enjoy DBZ figures immensely. I have a question about the Chinese distributed Medicos Super Figure Art Collection Super Saiyan Son Goku. I recently received my authentic version 1 copy through a Chinese distributor, and I'm a 100% certain that it isn't the bootleg, but the quality of it is disappointing. There's incorrectly assembled parts on the figure, so some of the hair parts aren't assembled straight, so there's big gaps in between some of the pieces. There's also a dark spot on his nose, and a smudge in the paint job on his hand. The one I bought was far cheaper priced than the other ones I've seen. Irregardless, it's still a nice figure. I was simply wondering if anyone knows if they sometimes sell quality rejected versions through the non-Japanese distributors. I've considered this possibility, but I don't even know if they do that or not. Does anyone know anything about this? Seen here: On this one, you can kinda see the dark spot on his nose: There's also a gap in his bangs.
