That Cell is awesome. I've seen him online, but never in my price-range.

Seriously again, Thanks for helping me figure this out. It's been bugging me for a while because the Trunks I own is also like this, but other than the sticker thing, I couldn't find anything wrong with him. I was particularly concerned because I bought the Trunks for my husband, and really didn't want to have to tell him that it was a bootleg (if it turned out to be) because he absolutely loves the thing. He keeps it on the tower of his computer (of whom he named "Luna"... don't ask), and he says that Trunks protects her. It's nerdy and sweet all in the same package.

I really want to thank you guys for helping me figure this out. Takezo, I agree with you on those "suspect bootlegs". The paint job and molds are both a bit sloppy even if the bases are correct. Your own figures are great looking. These pics of Gotenks were both taken on my phone (Galaxy S3) and my iPod Touch. I don't own an actual camera, I hope that these are ok for inspecting detail. I find it funny, I think my phone takes better pics than my iPod. As for Gotenks, there's a bit of a paint imperfection around the furthest portion of his left eye, but it seems to simply be a manufacturing error. The paint job otherwise seems perfect other than a few barely noticeable spots on his pants. The paint isn't glossy like the bootlegs of the other figures that I've seen. I've only seen one close up of a bootleg of Gotenks, and the paint on the pants was coming off in some spots around the obi (sash). Not to mention that there was yellow spots around his eyes. Now that I look at this, I really doubt that this is a bootleg. My husband bought this from Toynk.com, which is an American company, so it's possible that they took the stickers off (as takezo said). I'm just tossing out excuses, but that seems to be the conclusion that I can come up with. I'm thinking they do this because they aren't being distributed by a Japanese company. The sculpt on it is sharp too, especially in the pants. Most bootlegs I've seen of any figure don't have a really sharp mold, and even on good knock offs, you can see the difference when compared to the real figure.

I need that Arale bad. The sculpt and paint job are both killer on her, and I personally believe that she's one of the best figures in the line this year.
I pre-ordered the Trunks for my husband, which is also an awesome figure too.

My husband surprised me and bought be the Gotenks figure that I had questions about, but just to bump this thread and possibly get some answers, this is the figure. It looks real because of the correct base... However, this is the part that really confuses me. I don't read Japanese, so I don't know what it says:

Hubby surprised me and bought me this. I love it.

Yes. I'm just really baffled by the "No Sticker" thing, even though the Trunks I have has no sticker, but looks identical to the authentic one. The base is correct, which is usually the give-away.
These are video reviews of the HQDX Gotenks. The guy in the "Fake" video discovered after posting it that it was a bootleg, and you can tell from the rounded base (the guy actually makes note of it in the vid). The real base would be tapered from a cut off point, not rounded like it is:

Real Figure (The dude in this vid is really annoying, I apologize, but this one's the real one):

www.amazon.com/dp/B008X8TJLC/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3HQZO67OPUFD3&coliid=I3JFGWVQWMBPP2You can see the spot where the sticker goes, and every bootleg I've seen doesn't even have the "rectangle" spot on the box to where the sticker is supposed to be. On this figure (like most others), it's supposed to be on the top right of the box (on the cover), but this seems like it's simply not there. A couple years ago, I bought the clear-hair Trunks that doesn't have a sticker on it, but the spot where it's supposed to be just like this Gotenks I posted, but everything points to it being authentic. Even the base on my Trunks (which is usually the give-away for bootleg) is the correct tapered one, and not the rounded one like the Boots have. And it looks exactly like the real one in every way. I assume that this Gotenks I posted the link to is the same with the correct base. But I have seen a bootleg Gotenks with the rounded base (there's quite a few on YouTube in review vids), and despite it being a bootleg, it was still a well made, and awesome figure. I just didn't know if it was part of a re-release or something that weren't issued with stickers, or if it was an actual bootleg. Even though it doesn't make sense for them to be issued without stickers. Not to mention it says "officially licensed" in the product description... but that's not always trustworthy, I assume.

Does anyone know anything about the figures from the HQDX line with no stickers?
It screams bootleg, but they don't look like bootlegs, and a lot of legit sellers sell these figures.
I assume they are bootlegs, but does anyone know if they are or not?

Prototype pics have emerged: These aren't the only ones that have emerged, but they're the best two I could find. The rumor is that we're looking at a September release.

So do we know about the Shenron statue yet? If it comes with the dragonballs or how to obtain them? The most I know is that it will be out next month at some point.

Bummer about it being a bootleg, but now you can make it a one-of-a-kind piece! The blood looks great, and a custom base would be badass! I think it would look really cool if you used some thin acrylic rods and make it look like rocks are rising around him and maybe add on to the ki aura. You read my mind! I was totally thinking about that. I was also thinking about making some type of yellow transparent pieces for an aura that would attach to the base. However, they would be completely removable in case I wanted to display it without them.

Hate that it wasn't the real McCoy, but at least you kept a positive outlook and even added some pretty cool details! Nice work! Thanks. I'm a bit crafty, so I'm not entirely at a loss. I just bought a $90 pre-shaped canvas. I'll make what I want of it. I want to change up the base, and maybe make it like the base on the Resin knock-off. That base looks like the ground, and it's sweet!
