Do you guys consider the exclusive Mexico release to be separate from this release? I don't... I don't. Tamashii produced x amount of Frieza Saga Goku and separated them between Galeria Mexico and SDCC. They changed the packaging to fit that specific convention. It's no different than what Tamashii is currently doing by printing Bluefin exclusive packaging for the United States releases. The Galeria Mexico packaging is limited to 500 so if the hardcore collectors want to obtain it, more power to them.

The only releases that I believe would sell well from Super, at the moment, are characters that are already well established. Goten, Kid Trunks, Gotenks, Gohan, Krillin, Tien, Piccolo, and Master Roshi come to mind. (They don't need to hold Goten, Kid Trunks, and Gotenks for Buu Saga focus since they've made appearances in Super. I think it would be best if they leave Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks for Buu Saga though. They're already taking care of that, in a way, with the Figuarts Zero release.) Releasing Super Saiyan 4 Goku this year would be a great marketing strategy for Tamashii. They could advertise it as the commemorative figure for the 20th Anniversary of Dragon Ball GT. While I agree on the ones that would sell best, I would much rather see the classic characters released in their classic outfits first as opposed to their Super ones. For Super releases, I'd rather get the new characters (even Mr. Nipples) than get the classic characters with their new outfits. I just wouldn't want Tamashii to release Super versions of Goten, Trunks, Tien, etc. and call it a day for them. Classic outfits first, new ones later. And you already know SSJ4 Goku is bae and the more GT stuff the better They may not be the most ideal outfits for the characters but they are releases of the characters nonetheless. If they sell well, they wouldn't call it a day for those characters. Tamashii doesn't want to limit themselves on releases and potential profit. Super's popularity gives them a reason to release those specific characters. The sales could help determine the character's other releases in their future schedule. If Tien sells well, they'll focus on releasing classic outfits for him sooner rather than later. It's not the most ideal situation for the collectors who demand classic outfits but I feel it would be the best business decision. The sun will shine oh so much brighter when they officially announce Super Saiyan 4 Goku. I really hope it opens the doors for more Dragon Ball GT releases. I have a feeling it will because it's a Goku release and a very famous design. One of the great things about Dragon Ball Heroes* is that it's keeping the Super Saiyan 4 transformation alive. It's not just secluded to Dragon Ball GT anymore. If Tamashii isn't afraid to cross into that territory with Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta, we could potentially get Super Saiyan 4 Gohan as well. (Really cool design.) I agree with SS4 Goku launch as soon as possible on the anniversary of DBGT. I do not understand that a prototype with different faces and evolution has not been announced. I am expecting from 2014 Yeah, it seems like it would be a very successful strategy for Tamashii. I was quite excited to see that the prototype went through some upgrades between the Tamashii Nations events. It had me at ease to realize that Tamashii is confident for this release and is taking their time to improve the figure. If that means more time in production, I'm all for it. A Tamashii manager must really like Super Saiyan 4 Goku for it to go through those upgrades.

Wtf it doesn't look pale at all in person. All these pictures make the figure look pale as f**k, and people jump to the conclusion that it's pale like a vampire and then post about how much it sucks. It looks great in person, the skin looks fine. I expected it to be pale as manga gohan, not even close. ugh the fuss was way too melodramatic. Sadly, I've seen quite a lot of that. Forums, Facebook, Instagram, and etc. They see pictures and make judgment on it before having it in hand to experience it themselves. We should all know by now that most pictures don't truly give the figure justice because all lighting is different. Once I had Premium Color Super Saiyan Vegeta in hand, I was amazed. I went over to a friend's house who had the original release and I favored the Premium Color over a majority of the differences. It changed my mind on wanting to purchase an original release any time soon or at all.

So......with the Champa Arc now in full swing, is anyone else getting excited to see some SHF's of the new tournament competitors? The battle between Goku and Botamo looks good, but personally I'm keen to see a Hit, Cabba and Frost. Perhaps they will be our next releases after Whis, Champa and Vados?? I'll come to a decision once all of their "final forms" are revealed and see who's left standing. I would really like Tamashii to put Super releases on the back burner for quite awhile. I understand they're trying to stay ahead of the game but I don't believe those releases will be very successful in the current market. Let the audience become familiar with these characters and demand them from Tamashii.

Premium Colors are all around best for Tamashii and, in the long run, for the collector. The profit from those releases could be applied to improvements for their future releases.

You are a woman that collects figures? Would be cool if I found one in ten years when I get married anyways as for your question this goku is just dope, I would get 2 but Im limited financially to only get one of each, Im not a serious hardcore collector, but I would use one for normal goku and one for super saiyan. If you will just keep it in the box, I dont have an opinion since I dont see any point of collecting cardboard. Its also a standard release which means they can reissue it, so you can buy one and see how you like it and then decide if you want another. shock horror a female collect or? how absurd! lol na it's all good I quite like being a female collector haha ssgohin is my idol ;p I also have a decend Jurassic Park collection too! yeah I am also limited financially so not too sure if I should get another...then I wonder too if they will re-release? It is a regular release so they will eventually reissue the figure at some point in the foreseeable future. I have a feeling they produced a large amount so it may be easy to purchase one for quite awhile.

Good god this figure is the balls! Probably a silly question but should I get two ? I don't usually, but feeling like this is worthy of a MIB one for my collection ;p It's not a silly question, do what you feel like. I'm going to keep one in the box and use it in my "Evolution of Goku" display with all of the boxes lined up one after another. (Well, the ones that I have.)

Barring the PC releases, everything coming up is standard, correct? That's excellent news for the longevity of the line. Tamashii's finally realizing the potential this franchise has. Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta is a web exclusive.

I don't think we'll be seeing too many figures getting canned anymore. The line is flourishing and Tamashii knows it. They're gonna drain the collectors for everything we're worth. I'm still thinking that the Super Buu's will make a return except with the updated knee joints. As for Shenron and Porunga, that's a big idk. Nappa will come back too but probably not till late next year. I don't think we will, either. Two specific Goku prototypes are production ready. Super Saiyan God Goku and Super Saiyan 4 Goku. Super Saiyan 4 Goku has been given a new face in this setup. How many prototypes have we seen with updated joints/articulation and face sculpts that weren't eventually released? Somebody at Tamashii is dead set on releasing that figure and I couldn't be happier even if we have to play the waiting game. If those rumors were true, I could see Tamashii purposely holding off on the Majin Buus until the Kai Buu Saga comes to the Western audience. Shenron and Porunga are great display pieces for the time being. Even if they're two of the last releases, it's fine. We know they have the prototypes, let them continuously work on them rather than rush them. Same with Nappa. I'm hoping they'll incorporate the new Super Saiyan Trunks armor to Nappa with a torso articulation.

Theyre not the same though. These have a huge hole in them, and the others dont. So its easier to just repaint them. I would've thought the bottom part of the pants were the same as the OG Goku mold but I guess not. Well there goes that option Are the faces swappable with the regular SSJ face? I don't believe the boots move/swivel anymore. The feet do but not the boots so they're different from all the other Goku releases.
