I hope they make a premium Cell, SSJ3, Freeza, and Saiyan Armor Vegeta. I have them all, (except SSJ3 but damn that figure ugly) but everyone should be able to get them at affordable costs.

I agree it is horrible, I understand that these figures get stupidly expensive over time, I paid £180 for the original Trunks but I refuse to pay £190-£250 for the disgusting horribleness that is SSJ3

I just worry that a bulk of their releases will be PC and Super figures. I understand why they're churning out the Super characters since they want to capitalize on the new series but they need to space it out a bit more. So far it's been too many back to back releases and the stuff in between that have been PC's. PC's should be reserved for figures that truly need them according to popular demand (like Trunks and Vegeta were) or simply because the OG wasn't good from the get go (SSJ3 and Cell). Basically they just need keep PC's to a mimimum and give variety between DB, DBZ, DBGT, and DBS. Woah buddy you're making it sound way too serious or complicated. We've only had two PC releases so far, no other PC releases have been announced in any kind of way so don't draw any unnecessary paranoid conclusions about what might happen and what might not.

The original Cell is pretty tight. I don't know what figure you're looking at, but I love him.
As for upcoming PC releases, Trunks/SSj Vegeta were abnormally highly priced at over 200+, and had people calling for re-releases of them at every convention. The only figure left that isn't a con exclusive that still holds this price point would be SSj3 Goku. However, that figure is generally agreed upon to look like butt anyway, so a PC release that updates him would probably be loved by almost everyone.
Cell I love as is, and don't believe he NEEDS a re-issue of any sort, but I understand that newer collectors may not want to dump up to $200 for a figure that was previously released.
As for the line growing, we weren't getting a figure a month, it was more like a figure a quarter in 2014, so I'll take what I can get at this point. Releasing upwards of a projected 12+ figures in 2016, I'll take the Super figures along with the PCE releases as it's generally more Dragon Ball in this line that we ever got before. They can get all of the Super figures out this year, and then be left with a lot of classic figures to keep up the line. It's not like we're seeing Hit/Frost/Cabba figures already ( But that may change with the upcoming Tamashii showcase ), so I believe we should take what we're getting right now and be happy the line is still going and growing.
They are going to focus on what is relevant right now in the public eye, so the Super releases aren't surprising. However they are also making all of the important players right now already. I expect that we will see more classic figures from the Tamashii event that is coming up than more Super characters. We know Champa/Vados are being released, but that is the last of the Super line that we have seen so far.

I really enjoyed it. He isn't "perfect" though. I wouldn't mind them tightening up the joints a little bit, and possibly brightening up the color. I don't think a PC release is necessary, but wouldn't mind it either. This is how I have mine displayed though.

It's not articulated though. I wish it was. I was trying to strategically place him so he looked natural in the dio.

I was thinking, wouldn't it be better to get SS3 Goku as an SDCC exclusive instead of a premium color? That way they could keep the effect part and maybe give us an extra face or 2 like they did last year. Maybe a smirk face or any other as long as its a good one. Not a fan of the angry face looking to the side. Because if they make the premium color version it'll probably be pale looking with lines under the eyes, no effect part, perhaps missing the only alternate face, and the only extra is a pair of hands.

No because not everyone has access to SDCC exclusives and the prices outside the event are insane.

While the SDCC exclusive would come out undoubtedly much better looking, the price and exclusiveness of it would be quite a deterrent. I'm really not a fan of the PC's but for the good of the line, it's the better option for SSJ3 Goku.
I actually like the current one except for a few nitpicks but a PC could work out pretty well if it's done right. They could color the gi red-orange like Krillin or Namek Goku and put some kanji on it to make it a BoG version. That way those of us that have the OG would have a reason to buy it again.

Does the skin color not look to orange to you? It's not as bad as it seems but it is there. Also I don't like the whole glossy finish. The gi color is actually anime accurate to his first appearance but it could've been done better. Other than that the figure itself is awesome. The deltoids are fixed from the Goku mold and the hair is beautifully detailed, colored, and sculpted. It is back heavy but I can't really think of a way around that. SSJ3 just has a lot of hair!
