I wish another toy company would acquire these, I would love to see Android 8 and all these other cool figures on the shelves. Dragon Stars Or S.H Figuarts still does not fill that gap in my heart that Irwin once filled in DBZ toys. Irwin/Jakks felt durable and more like a toy should feel like, as opposed to the others that feel more fragile and brittle. So many awesome figures never produced, it breaks my heart to see that my childhood was unfinished.

I agree. I still like the visual appeal of Irwin/Jakks figures over the 3D printed look of most of the modern figures. They just seem more interesting.

I don't own the Bomber Jacket Goku figure because I didn't have the cash at the time but did hold it in my hand and I was the person who went down to the place to pick up Soda's prototypes and send them to him. I think there are at least 3 Bomber Jacket protos based on talking to the guys selling them. Yes it is one of the biggest regrets of my collecting that I didn't get it but I bought the unreleased Chrimson Binome figure from Reboot from them which I like more as a character so it was a trade off. I did eventually buy up all their stock when they got tired of selling on Ebay and ended up with a lot of the protos you have pics of on here. Hope I cleared up some things. Hey quick question! Did you happen to purchase the Babidi prototype featured at the beginning of this thread? I'd be very interested in purchasing it from you if so. Thanks man!

I encountered a guy named Peter Joe on Facebook who told this story: So he owns a lot of prototypes in various states of condition. The most interesting one he has shown me is this short haired Videl. I looked through all of my records (my posts in this thread), to double check this, but there was never a claim by Irwin that we'd be getting a short haired Videl. So this is super interesting. What is also interesting, is that she seems to share the same legs and overall body structure with Irwin Series 11 Bulma, which I've demonstrated via Photoshopping her next to a pic of Bulma I took years ago. I wonder which came first? Bulma? Videl? We may never know. She even seems to share the same mouth, nose, and likely eye shape. Her thumbs up hand is different from the first that long-haired Videl has, but otherwise, that arm seems similar. Given how tall this Videl would be (look how long her legs are), she would have complimented the SS Gohan in blue gi (who I often call NBA player Gohan) since Irwin made him extremely long-legged and long-armed. Peter has told me that he'll send me more pictures soon. For right now, here are some other unusual ones. He has a couple IF Labs Piccolo prototypes that are MASSIVE compared to the production figures. He also owns this SS3 Goku that we (the people on DBF) have speculated was meant to be included in a second series of the "Collector's Edition" line Irwin only released one series of. For reference, the series that Irwin released (pictured below) included SS2 Gohan, Kamehameha Goku, and SS Vegeta. The second series (based on prototypes sold during Irwin's bankruptcy sale in 2003) seemed to be SS3 Goku, Piccolo, and Daburah. This SS3 Goku seems to be that. Based on the clear base being a different shape, I assume this is a second copy of the same prototype Irwin sold on ebay during their bankruptcy sale in 2003, and not the exact same figure in these pics. I've included those two 2003 pics below after enlarging them.
