I don't get all the hate on these figures. I dont think its right comparing them to MSPs since they have entirely different price points. There's no doubt that the painting on DODs is much better and I personally think the sculpt and overall quality of the figure is better (yet again it's not fair comparing both lines).
As for the clothing, I really like the idea but they just didn't execute it very well on the gokus. However if it's done right, the figures will be even better, just look at medicom kid goku!

I saw a DOD piccolo in person this weekend at Myrtle Beach. I thought it was really cool; It had great sculpting, clothes looked neat, but it seems overpriced to me.
That being said, my wife picked up a DXF SS3 Goku for me. Paid a few dollars more than on amazon for it, and I have to say I am a little disappointed in it. The sculpt and coloring is awesome. I guess I have been spoiled by my scultures. Still a great addition to the collection.

Tbh if they didn't do the clothes thing or at least did it right, the line would be pretty decent. I'm still irked about the scale but it's really the baggy clothes that ruin the line for me.

No king not at all. Clothes are an issue on goku only. Piccolos clothing looks great IMO. I've seen people complain about the sculpt as much as I've seen people complain about clothing which is what I don't get EDIT: sorry didn't see prodigy's post and eh's before posting. Eh I beg to differ. If they make a future trunks with clothes that wouldn't look like a doll at all would it? prodigy1367 I think the baggy clothing issue won't recur affter goku. So far broly and fat buu look great

So far broly and fat buu look great Broly only has pants and same with Buu so it's hard to mess those up. As long as they stay with shirtless characters or those with tight clothing like Vegeta, the clothing could work. Piccolo's did turn out ok comparing to Goku's. Hopefully if they can fix up that issue and maybe settle on a scale, I'd consider getting em. The new Frieza's turned out pretty well and might scale nicely with Medicos or MSP, but then again Frieza's naked so...

Yes but since they didn't mess up the pants, I'm rather optimistic But seriosuly, imagine the amount of clothing on a trunks, from sneakers to pants to the jacket, if they did it well it'll be a masterpiece! I like frieza very much and I think he'll look nice with medicos or zero ex goku, but I still think he's a bit overpriced.

I really don't know why everyone hates on the D.O.D. line so much. There isn't anything like these available, so they look really unique in a collection. As far as price goes, whenever I get any statues with cloth on them, you are looking to spend in the hundreds of dollars to get anything that looks amazing. For the price these things go for, that's what I expect. Every single one of the D.O.D. sculpts is fantastic and Goku so far is the only one that the clothing looks bad on. But even then, if you don't agree with the styling of how they sculpted these and are a purist, they are still one of the better sculpted lines for the scale I've seen. Piccolo is fantastic and I can even get Goku's clothing posed so he looks acceptable. The only complaint I have as others have mentioned is Frieza's scale. But considering how unique the line is, I can let it slide.

I'm more into MSP because the sculpts seem at least a little better. The paintjobs could use considerable work, but over all, I find it a more satisfying line for their cheap price. MSP could definitely tone it down on the tanning lotion they apply to their figures. Other than that, they're a really great line. Good variety of characters so far and good price point. Sculpts are pretty good even though they're a bit stylized (looking at you Vegeta). Really excited to see where the line goes. I agree. People rave about the Vegeta, but I don't like his facial sculpt, and that's the most important part. It's too thin and doesn't really resemble Vegeta at all. I've always seen Vegeta with a wide, smug looking face. Even Bulma says he's ugly. Someone actually took that figure and made a custom SSj2 Saiyaman Gohan. That face on the Gohan figure looked so much better.

Probably just manga colours The original is manga colors... so one can wonder. Now, if he was Super Saiyan, then that would be totally different.
