After so many years, he's finally done!!! I've already told ya, but this was one of your customs I always wanted to see finished and he does not disappoint!! Amazing job - the hair, the pants, the paint. Everything came out pretty much perfect. So so dang good!

ssj2dakota thanks! When I was looking for old WIP pics, I'd see posts by you wishing that I'd finish that figure! I'm glad he's finally done. You might remember I had his hair painted bleach blonde and with a ton of pearl additive in it. I kept looking at it and comparing it to other figures, and I just couldn't bring myself to do such a wildly different SS hair color. I kind of regret it though, because I also kind of really liked it.

So great to see you finally finding time to work on (and finish!) some of your customs! They look great, I'm especially impressed by Cooler, Tao Pai Pai and Gohan SSJ2 but they're all works of love and it shows. Keep up the great work!

Saiyan Saga YamchaDifficulty: my work 6/10, sadpanda 's work, probably 10/10 I won this awesome Yamcha custom from sadpanda on ebay back in 2014 when he was selling it. Sadpanda did a fantastic job on the sculpt and paint work, but a few areas needed a little bit of work. First, I shortened the hands and wrist bands perhaps 1/8" and then drilled the forearms and hands so I could use plastic pegs. Sadpanda had used some kind of thin wire, and there was a gap between the hands and wrist bands. I could have reused that wire, but I wanted to see if I could get pegs more centered than he had managed (it's an extremely difficult task that I mess up constantly too). Shortening the arms permitted this figure to no longer need to be posed with his arms slightly bent, in order to not look long-armed. I then engineered the belt to not have just empty space all the way around it, by adding some Apoxie Sculpt carefully in the gap; the belt had previously only been held on with super glue in two small areas. Inside, Sadpanda had tried a really clever way of making a peg to hold the torso on, but the torso was extremely loose, because the peg was around 1/4" too tall. I used the hot glue and vaseline method to tighten that up. There were a few areas that needed sanding, and I wanted to use my stickers instead of his hand painted symbols, so I sanded those off as well. The neck needed a lot of dremeling to make the neck smoothly transition into the head, and that took a bit of time. I then repainted the entire figure, except for the feet. There was a big gap all the way around the torso (under the arms and above the shoulders) and I have often left that without caring. However, this time, I mixed up some Apoxie Sculpt and filled the gap, then sanded it, painted, and then clear coated the entire figure. Finally, I added my stickers. I don't remember what all Sadpanda used to create this, but I know for a fact that he used Irwin Buu Saga SS Vegeta arms and a series 5 SS Gohan head that he heavily, heavily, heavily modified. Yamcha's my favorite character, and Sadpanda's custom was so good that I feel privileged to own it. I'm really thankful I didn't have to do this hair sculpt myself, and the way he sculpted the pants is 10 times better than I can sculpt fabric.
Here he is next to Adrenaline 's Namek Saga Yamcha he graciously sold me many years ago (I added the halo), my WIP Cell Saga Yamcha I've been working on a little bit, and Irwin's Buu Saga Yamcha. And here he is with part of the Saiyan Saga Z warriors.

It's great to see you back in action! You don't understand how long I've waited for this 😅. Tao pai pai is probably my favorite one so far, if I ignore my bias for Gohan.

I don't know if it is the light of the photo, but I think you missed the right skin tone for Yamcha (skin tone is always a nightmare especially for dragon ball figures), looks a bit too yellow. However I always enjoy to see your new figures.

Branjita I see you wanted to resemble the skin tone difference in reference to Tien and others, still it looks a bit too yellow to me. Anyway nice attention to details.

Saiyan Saga Toddler GohanDifficulty: 3/10
This is a rework of an older, lazy custom figure I made. The body is an Adverge Children bootleg toddler Gohan body (the one that comes on a red base, not black base) and a Chara Puchi head (that was also a bootleg, that I repainted--except for the red hat). I had made this head for a different custom, but determined it was perfect for this body years ago, so I glued the head on it. I also dislike having swappable heads, so having another body for this head made me happy. And well, I decided it was time to rework this and turn it into a finished figure.
So I boiled the body so I could remove the legs. They were blue, uncolored plastic for some reason. I repainted the legs green, black, and white. I then removed the head, drilled a hole in the neck, inserted a peg, and articulated the head. The eyes on the figure were a bit muddy looking from my clearcoat bleeding the black paint years ago, so I repainted them. The bootleg didn't have the white background on his shirt's symbol, so I added the white. I normally would have used one of my stickers, but I didn't want to have to remove the arms to get it on there. I still had the Chara Puchi toddler Gohan's body, so I cut the tail off of it, and when I was gluing the legs back on with epoxy, I epoxied the tail onto his bottom at the same time. A little bit of clearcoat brushed on the legs, tail, and symbol... and he was done.

Thanks! I should take a picture of all of my Gohan customs (and production figures) and show them together. I've had to make more Gohans and Krillins than any person should have to
