Flawless shading. Great sculpt. Perfect scale. Just an awesome job overall. My only critique is that I think there's too many thick strands of hair for a Super Saiy, but still looks nice.

Bulma from Battle of Gods (DBZ movie 14)Difficulty: 3/10 How to make: This is another custom I finished months ago but couldn't show because of the Scene Stealers 4 contest. I didn't have an extra Bulma at the time, so I had to sacrifice my old Buu Saga Bulma I made in a red dress with yellow scarf. The original custom figure had a Chi Chi scarf on her neck that I trimmed. I should have trimmed it further or just made my own, because this is huge compared to what Bulma had in the movie. Anyway, this trimmed scarf was below my current standards, so I used some apoxie and made the trimmed edges blend better. I sculpted her a bracelet. Other than those things, it was a full repaint. I worked on this while I was recovering from surgery and such, so the edges aren't flawless on the paint job (I painted while lying down on the couch). It's only noticeable on the watch, one sock, and the green scarf is not shaded up to my usual standards. The watch I actually outlined in gray so it would stand out, because the pink wristband looked too much like her skin. I think it still turned out great. It's actually much higher quality than the red dress Bulma was, as I had red paint on the arms and legs I had to carefully sand off. Original vs. Custom Turning shots... i975.photobucket.com/albums/ae234/Brangeta/IMG_6093.jpgi975.photobucket.com/albums/ae234/Brangeta/IMG_6101.jpgi975.photobucket.com/albums/ae234/Brangeta/IMG_6100.jpgi975.photobucket.com/albums/ae234/Brangeta/IMG_6099.jpgi975.photobucket.com/albums/ae234/Brangeta/IMG_6098.jpgi975.photobucket.com/albums/ae234/Brangeta/IMG_6097.jpgi975.photobucket.com/albums/ae234/Brangeta/IMG_6096.jpgi975.photobucket.com/albums/ae234/Brangeta/IMG_6094.jpgAnd, of course, in a bit of irony, I now have two extra Bulmas (too many, too late ), so I'll end up making another red dress/yellow scarf Bulma in the future. The other I'll use for somebody eventually. i975.photobucket.com/albums/ae234/Brangeta/IMG_6102.jpgEdit 4/15/14: Here's an extra group shot I forgot I took:

Yes, another completed 5 inch scale custom Flawless paint job imo. Really like the first angled shot. The shoes are done really well. Is it me or are her bangs lower on her eyes than the original....or perhaps the eyes are painted higher.

Well, as you probably know, and can tell from the group photo, Irwin's eye location accuracy was not always accurate on this specific figure. Most Bulmas have their eyes slightly to the right side of their face (right side when you're looking at her). In the group photo, the first one has eyes kind of far to the right, the 2nd one is my original Bulma I've owned since new and it has them a little high and a little to the right, the 3rd one (used in the 1st photo as well) has really accurate eye placement compared to the others, and my purple custom (I've also owned since new) has her eyes really high and a little to the right. There are two other obvious flaws that are inconsistent among green dress Bulma figures. 1. Their legs are pinched by the hard plastic dress, so most don't stand level. Usually her right foot won't stand flat to the ground. You can't boil and adjust them all that well either. In the first pic, the green dress Bulma with near perfect eyes also stands basically perfect too, it's the only one that stands perfect. The worst is my original Bulma I've had since new, the 2nd one from the left in the group pic. Her right leg is pinched a lot. 2. Some have arms that don't have the peg molded perfectly in the center on the arm that has the swivel joint. The worst one I have is the Bulma with perfect eyes and perfect standing feet. In fact, I think it's the only one I have with this problem. i975.photobucket.com/albums/ae234/Brangeta/IMG_6092.jpg

I really like the eyes on the left one there. They're slanted inward to her nose. Makes her look more feminine. Although the flatter ones on your custom might be more accurate.

The blue shading on her scarf is definitively not up to your usual standards, but I love the purple paint on the dress. And the shoes! They look fantastic. I Bulma's BOG look is my new favorite of her "short dress and bowl-cut" looks.

You did a great job at restructuring his body. Overall, I like him. Such a good character in DB. I'll just say this, you can no longer point out that my DB Krillins have big heads because so does your Korin.

Wow Korin and Goku look great! Although Korin does look a bit skinny from the front, or maybe it's just me. Love the Bulma as well, I like how you add the Irwin type of shading. She came out perfecto! Also just noticed the group pic you added, nice shot!

Bulma for my DB collectionDifficulty: 13/10 How to make: Like the Goz, Mez, Burter, and Nappa I've made, this figure was an absolute ordeal. Maybe the hardest figure I've ever made. Definitely the hardest to paint and the most time consuming. I made this for my Scene Stealers 4 entry and just finished it yesterday, so it was a work in progress I had to paint into position for the contest pic. This figure was so much work, but Bulma's one of my favorite characters, so it was worth it. She has articulation that works at the neck, ball jointed shoulders, hands that twist, legs that move (a little bit) at the hips, and ankles that go back and forth as well as swivel. It took a lot of time to get all of that stuff to work without paint loss. I used parts from Jakks DBGT Pan, a Justice League Unlimited Wonder Woman (or somebody...) for other body parts, a popy mini big head Bulma head, and sculpted everything else you see. Sculpting the skirt was super difficult. I originally tried making it from pieces of a rubber cape from a Magneto figure... it didn't work. So I sculpted it and because it floats around her, and I wanted to make sure it looked like a skirt that was hollow underneath, I had a lot of trouble sculpting it and then an even worse time detailing it with waves and such. Sculpting boobs that look like boobs in a loose fitting shirt was an even more difficult experience . I resculpted portions of her hair and scalp on the back side... I made the arms from scratch... made all of her clothing from scratch as well as accessories... I mean... this was a lot of work. The watch, the gun, the belt, the holster, the dragon radar, the fanny pack, were all sculpted completely out of apoxie. It took a lot of time to sculpt, sand, paint, repaint, repaint, repaint, and repaint. A lot of time. I'm talking... A. Lot. Of. Time. I don't even want to guess the number of hours I have in this. Adrenaline spent more time on his Dr. Wheelo than I did on this Bulma, but I can't think of any other custom I've made that I've spent this long on. I probably spent over 20 hours just sanding things smooth and using my manicure tool to detail edges of things I sculpted. And the paint was really difficult, particularly the panties, the inner skirt, the legs under the skirt, and anything dealing with articulation. Those freaking shoes and socks UGH, they were such a pain in the ass. I shouldn't have left the articulation, I really shouldn't have. Dealing with those socks losing paint, getting stuck when I glued the joints to prevent paint loss, etc. was probably 10 hours by itself. The logos on her shirt I designed on the computer, printed, cut out, and glued on. The dragon radar's face matches the screenshot from the first episode when she looks at it and decides to follow Goku home from where he destroyed her car. The strap on it is from a gray Walmart bag, and even doing that took 45 minutes last night from how difficult it was to cut and attach. i975.photobucket.com/albums/ae234/Brangeta/IMG_6349.jpgi975.photobucket.com/albums/ae234/Brangeta/IMG_6356.jpgi975.photobucket.com/albums/ae234/Brangeta/IMG_6355.jpgi975.photobucket.com/albums/ae234/Brangeta/IMG_6354.jpgi975.photobucket.com/albums/ae234/Brangeta/IMG_6353.jpgi975.photobucket.com/albums/ae234/Brangeta/IMG_6352.jpgi975.photobucket.com/albums/ae234/Brangeta/IMG_6351.jpgi975.photobucket.com/albums/ae234/Brangeta/IMG_6350.jpg"It says there's a dragon ball nearby!" i975.photobucket.com/albums/ae234/Brangeta/IMG_6357.jpgJust a demonstration of articulation. i975.photobucket.com/albums/ae234/Brangeta/IMG_6358.jpgPanties matching the anime lol. i975.photobucket.com/albums/ae234/Brangeta/IMG_6359.jpgHere's my entire current group of 4.5 to 5" scale DB figures I've mostly had to custom make. Master Roshi has not been customized completely yet, but will eventually be wearing his orange outfit. Future plans: a completely different, incredibly awesome Yamcha, an early DB Krillin, modifications to Chi Chi if I ever find that damn Chara Puchi of her on ebay for cheap (!!!!!), Master Roshi (as I said above), Tien, King Piccolo, Tao Pai Pai, Mai, Bora, Grandpa Gohan, blonde Lunch, brunette Lunch, and most likely a Goku in orange gi. Possibly a Goku transforming into Oozaru... and that may be all. I'm mostly only interested in creating characters from the first few episodes, or I'll spend decades making everybody.

Okay, that's everything I'm posting today. I've added three brand new customs I'd like y'all to look at, and there is 1 new group pic on the Battle of Gods Bulma post.
