The HG Goku wasn't that big of a deal concerning the orange. Luckily my orange was really similar when mixed with a little bit of yellow!
The repainting of Pilaf, Shuu, and Mai took a long time. I don't time myself otherwise it feels like work, but it took me a long time.

Very clean work. I didn't know Mai was green. I already painted Pilaf, but now I'll have to check on her too.

I'll leave all the pics up for Pilaf and gang for a few more days to see if anybody else wants to see them all and reply.
I think I know of something else I can post that I finished December 9th that will excite more people...

IKNOW your ginyu will be painted 10x better than mine! lol excellent work!! oh yeah I meant to ask how you make the muscles clothes and indents all darker? I think I heard something about a watered down darker color or am I wrong? I was planning on fixing cooler.

Nah, not this time. I don't know where I said anything. I usually wet my brush a bit more and use darker paint and brush it on then finger paint it a little bit to fade it away. I usually use a darker version of the same color, but sometimes I use a color that's completely different, that way I can change the tone of the paint. I usually do this method because it's faster even though it doesn't look very good sometimes. Usually when it doesn't look good, I used wayyyyy too dark of a paint. I wouldn't say I did a great job on Gohan's clothes because I actually made the cracks too dark of purple. His skin is great, the blue stuff is great, the shoes are great, but I did a bad job on the purple clothes. I did a great job on Piccolo's clothes though. With Gohan I just used purple to do the details on the pants, but with Piccolo I used some blue. Irwin's style was to use a completely random color sometimes for the shadows. You'll find some of their figures have orange shading on skin, which is sometimes weird, sometimes awesome. Sometimes I use different methods I just make up as I go along. On my newer Burter I really watered down some blue and finger painted all of his skin. Then I used a tiny brush and detailed him by hand and didn't do any wiping, because I wanted his blue skin to be really neat and tidy, but still have some splotches so you could see the shapes. I did the same technique on his shoulder pads and belly. I normally don't do this technique, because it takes so much longer. On the old Burter I textured his skin with a napkin or paper towel. So I brushed the paint on, then blotted it. A lot of my older customs are like this, because it was my preferred style back then. Now my prefered style is like what I did to Gohan, even though it sometimes doesn't look good. The worst job I've done in this newer style is the Gohan on the left's pants. I used a really dark teal on his green pants, and the teal was too dark. Did a crappy job IMO, but I love that figure!

Burter has a pedo smile lol I love it!!! Alright thanks Ill give it a try. But I'll test it out on ginyu because I can't duplicate coolers purple. It was a mix of 4-5 different shades of purple and some metallic some matte some regular. Lol but I'll give it a try Btw what are you going to work on next?

Holy crap... I would have never noticed, but those few millimetres of leg you trimmed of Gohan make all the difference! He really looks 11. The paintwork on his clothing is very nicely done. I dig the subtle purple shading. And his head! Both of the heads look fantastic! It's a shame you didnt' have more time to set up a really amazing scene to show this guy off. Your Goku/Gohan pic in the contest was great... But it didn't do this guy justice.
