Yeah, I just didn't want to sacrifice one Piccolo for another, that head just needed to go back on its original body. The different facial expression I sculpted on it will make it look pretty cool when it is all done. The other Piccolo head is going to get modified a lot. The only things I'm not changing are the eyes, eyebrows, and ears.

The middle Piccolo will probably look amazing when it's said and done, but man, it looks like a giant paint lol You think Dende's antennae are a bit high?

I think I glued the new ones on in about the same location. Doesn't matter to me if they are or not at this point

Nice work on the piccolos bran! Nice to see him getting some love. I'm surprised you haven't finished gohan yet, I though you had.

Gohan's hair turned out really nice so I think I am just going to finish painting him and he'll be done. Dende is repaired and looks nice. His antennas are a bit high on his forehead, but they were pretty high before, and I glued and then molded and sanded these new, better sculpted antennas to his forehead really well so I'm not going to break them off and start again haha. I don't think it is worth doing a bunch of photos of him so this is the finished/final pic of him. Piccolo is mostly done but I am doing an experiment on him to see if I can essentially dye the lifeless unpainted plastic to have some dimension instead of going through the entire painting process. So far so good on the skin. The outfit is only half done. Something I noticed is how much detail jakks put into the hands. Incredibly hand sculpt. Lots of wrinkles.

Gohan's hair turned out perfect. Same with Dende. And that Piccolo now looks incredible with the color matching. Nice work Bran.

I guess you're repainting all of Gohan's skin. Piccolo looks nice. Why does he seem taller than usual? Must be the angle.

I think I'm thinking if the giant guy in dbgt who looks a little like yaochun. I don't remember what episode he was in... This was the guy I was thinking of, but I'm wrong actually as he looks basically nothing like the Dragon Quest character Yangus lol There's no additional height to Piccolo, just a face resculpt and repaint of his head and chest/shoulders, then a staining of his arms to match. In that pic I also have his clothing stained a more vibrant purple. What I'm doing is an experiment. I water down the paint a ton and use it like watercolors and the paint naturally collects in the recesses/grooves making them darker. Seems like it is working okay and saving me massive amounts of time. We'll know if it's a success when I end up putting clear on top and the purple stain doesn't come off patchy. I cleared the skin this morning and it turned out just fine but I wasn't worried about the clear removing portions of it. I'm going to have to repaint his eyes though because they ended up with some black on them and I don't know how or why. I also did a watercolor stain of blue on his outfit as an experiment in seeing if I can shadow like this or it simply ends up recoloring everything. All I know is it beats the heck out of doing 3 or 4 coats of paint when you barely want to change the color at all! I hope it works. It's definitely no substitute for a full repaint, but as an adjustment to get rid of that lifeless plastic appearance, I hope it works.

We'll see. Leaving him with the BD marks?
That's the Giant! I had him on my list, but because he technically has no name and would have to be made into at least a 13 inch figure, I said hell no lol I might change my mind someday.

Yeah, I don't see any reason to get rid of them when I have so many unbattle damaged Piccolos in my collection already.
That giant is pointless I think lol.

Short cuts in life usually don't work lol. The clear did in fact remove some of the purple paint that was really thin, leaving what looked good from a distance, but up close looked like a really heavily chipped up figure. I started a repaint. Shouldn't take long, since I already basically had base coats (the two layers I did last night went on easily) I just need to add a detail coat and then he will be done. Not going to worry about the arm pits.

Nice! I like the new shade anyway. Stands out from that dull Jakks color.

Sweet Bran. I'm actually more impressed with the block you use to have them firmly stand while drying
