I mean if we are being completely honest with ourselves 150-170 is not such a crazy price. You did not have to go to the exclusive and wait for hours upon hours in line. Thats just the time involved guys not the money and even more time it takes to get tickets to this thing. All the costs and expenses to do with getting to this event. Even if you live nearby it would still cost alot. Last but not least is the 45 dollars plus tax. So it costs 115-135 dollars to avoid all these things and just click a button . I for one choose the button. It's more of a question of what it is worth to you. What you said is true, you would likely have had to waited in a line for upwards of 2 hours. How much is 2 hours of your time worth to you at home, how about at a large convention where there is a lot of stuff to see, what is 2 hours worth to you there? How about at work? How much does 2 hours of work generate for you? With those in mind, I finally found one at a price that I was.... OK with. Not pleased, but I don't have to deal with it anymore. If it comes up on Bluefin, I'll happily plunk down another ~ $65 for a second to add a scouter to for Ginyu in Goku. In the end though, It's a 6 inch plastic figure. I fall into the trap sometimes of comparing Figuarts to other lines like Sideshow and Play Arts Kai that command a higher retail price, that is usually still under the mark up that the old figures get, and I a lot of times find the Figuarts wanting. However, it's Dragonball Z, and that then trumps logic completely.

Sure its unfortunate that the price rose considerably due to all the damn scalpers, but I don't know if I would of made a vacation trip just to get this guy. Being on the east coast of the US, I would like to have paid about $50 less, but that's how it goes when you arnt local sitting in line for a day or so to get him. Coot

Snagged one of these for $150. Yikes. I thought people were crazy paying $100-$120 for pre-orders on eBay but now I'm a bit jealous I didn't do that as well. This will be my first holy grail figure as I haven't paid more than $90 for a figure before. That was Broly. At least these things hold their value. If I wasn't already selling my wrestling figure collection and making decent cash I wouldn't have bought it.

So... what ever happened to the mythical Bluefin secret stash? You should ask, prodigy1367, as he was soooooooooooooo certain that it'll be available after 2 weeks after SDCC apparently.

Your posts in this thread are a bit annoying dude. All you talk about is how you guessed correctly and others didn't.

But anyways... moving on, other than Bluefin, no other word on any other sites? I asked a local comic store about it and he said that he was supposed to receive a case or two but that he got notice that its been cancelled, he contacted them of course as that's his merchandise to sell, and that they said that theyre working things out? But as he put it in other words his order has been cancelled. He also said that the staff at SDCC were just stupid on how they ran the booth, he went with his brother and nephews and while at the con his nephews wanted some figures from the booth and that it was just ridiculous there.

blank, yeah I figured they'd do it since they did it the past two years. Just an educated guess based on their past behavior but oh well I even emailed them a few weeks ago asking (as if I'd actually get a response). If anyone wants any, eBay is all there is unfortunately. Now that I look back at it, I'm glad I scored one for $90 two days after the con ended. I've seen some people selling theirs on the facebook Ageless Geeks group if anyone's a part of it and wants one. Bluefin done f**ked us all.

Just because they did it for the past two years doesn't mean they'll do it again and again. They did the past two years because there was probably left overs as they didn't sell as good as this time. Which I believe its all due to all the hype that it got as the previous con ones didn't. If it wasn't for the hype and the scalpers we'd have a lot and still at low prices or not around for whats its going for. Not a educated guess, more like just a guess, a educated guess would of been if you/we had a announcement or a mention from Bluefin that they'll have available on their site, but none was given, no proof, so it was just a guess. As I said in a previous post, my local comic book store also got F'ed too. He actually placed a order for them, got conformation, and then got a notice of a delay and then nothing. He gave up on it as if other retailers didn't get theirs so its pretty much a given that hes not going to get his. I'm also glad I got mine for $110 during the con (meaning the seller posted as he was still attending the con for the rest of the days remaining.) No offense to you at all, but I'm glad I didn't listen to you or like take your words that Blufin will have them after the con. But still, a lot of this whole hassle is all due the hype and scalpers, not Bluefin as they didn't announce anything.
I wonder if it'll be like this next year, but my guess is that it all depends on the character. Like if it were to be Krillin again but without the white eyes, without the blue undershirt and different shoes, basically to be Frieza Saga Krillin, I'm sure it will sell. I just hope it doesn't end up like this years. But we'll see what ever they come up with.

Let's face it, unless someone here has inside knowledge on Tamashii/Bluefins production numbers and strategies of their SDCC figures, then everyone's just been 'guessing' and as such nobody here really has the right to be handing out 'I told you so's'.

I'm honestly getting sick of the whole exclusive crap. Every figure is exclusive, exclusive, exclusive, exclusive, and exclusive, its just stupid.
