@bran I bought this figure on eBay, I will be using his tail. I hope it's long and big enough (that's what she say) to fit with the figure. It seems the tail is already divided all I have to do is modify it by sanding and adding more epoxie. I will leave the articulation but it is not going to look 100% accurate tail. I hope it will work or I may have to hunt for jakks meta frieza just to use the tail.

Nice cooler bro. I was gonna do this one once I get the normal one right. I might have to take a crack at it. People seem to hate this version. I like the way you did the sculpt.

Gil I think 1 meant people hate that version of cooler not Ur actual custom or at least I hope that's what he meant lol

Thanks but I was speaking in general. I never seen in any forums I've gone that hated meta cooler version. Plus it doesn't bother me at all if people happen to hate my custom, I always look at it as something that I may need to improve. Hope that make sense haha.

coolers looking good so far... its been a long time since I saw any Z movies so I may have to dig them out..
Gil, I wanted to ask you about one of the last customs you did... I saw you finished the end of Z Goku and wondered what you used for the bottom of his top (err that sounds slightly silly, but im sure you get what I mean!)..I wondered if it was some kind of accessory (cape? etc.)from another figure you cut up or something? looked good whatever you did!

I used dcuc raven cape, I just cut it to the size I wanted glued it on goku's hip then sculpted on top for more durability. I don't know if there's any difference on the cape but some cape if you paint, the paint does not stick on it. Luckily the cape I used boned with the paint. Hope that help.

No problem adz. @bran I was able to use the tail, I thought it was just a simple mod but I end up sculpting the whole thing. Just like I said above or not (idk if I mentioned it) that the tail will not be 100% accurate, could I do better? pssshhhh yeah boi! but as of now I'm more than happy than what I expected. I don't recall him finish until I achieve the chrome I want, but I know he is cooler than he was on my previous picture. btw @shiffty I tried your first suggestion about white chrome and black lines, It didn't came out good. Not because of the paint but it's because of my skills of painting. Though, I want the chrome silver surfer picture that you sent me, that's how meta cooler should look like. Still deciding if I should make cross arm for him using maybe piccolo or vegeta's arm. Right now my budget for figures for this month went to my 5 android 17, my scouter vegeta Datong and unexpectedly to my dogs training pads (I was so busy customizing that he peed on the carpet so now he got use to peeing on the carpet). I'm so broke, I can't afford to buy another paint ahaha. Adrenaline I didn't fix the eyes because I already sculpted the detail lines on his face, I didn't want to go to it again. I will keep in mind next time. I was going to use goku's head just like elothk's cooler plus he had that big eyes already but I didn't want to waste another figure just for the head to use. I used the extra piccolos head instead from my last custom broly. And I thought he looks meaner with smaller eyes. |

Just so people can see the silver surfer u were talking about I'm going to post a pic of him like I told Gil the guy on figure realm said he "buffed it with a chrome powder" I'm not sure what that means or what chrome powder is but it's super chromed out. Metal cooler looks really good though and the tail works for what it is at least it's movable so that's a plus. I really like his torso sculpt a lot.  |
