Most of you are sheeps who are all programmed to think the same. I'm always the outsider.
It's so simple for you to say "why do you think we're attacking you?" when all of you have the same opinions. I am THE ONLY GUY who ever defends Jakks. When there is one of you, it's a discussion. When there's 3-5 it's an onslaught. And it never helps that you guys are know-it all pricks. You never know how to state your opinions in a respectful way, I hate it. It makes me want to punch you repeatedly.
There is a severe lack of decency here. None of us would talk to each other this way in real life. Maybe Branjita, because he genuinely seems to lack that voice in the back of our heads that tells us when we're being rude or upsetting to others. I'm tired of being told I take things a certain way. You guys do not follow forum ettiquette.
But I don't know why I bother...sheeps will be sheeps.
except you Shifty....you're an alright guy.

I hate to disagree with u bran but idk that those r facts there just speculation at best about recome anyway. The goku head is larger than any other goku head that jakks made but that body is bigger than most other jakks goku bodies so in a way it works. I still don't like that goku figure and I've often looked at it and wondered y they made it that way. I wish I would have used that goku head on my ss bardock custom and then he would have fit in alittle better with my figuarts collection No use arguing with stubborn pricks, shifty.

You're really pushing my buttons Adrenaline.
You are most certainly the worst offender when it comes to Jakks haters.
....I need to cool off. I'm just fing sick of all the Jakks hate. Can't start a single fing discussion without Irwin lovers and Jakks haters coming out and mobbing me. Christ.

I'd be interested in seeing those other prototypes you mentioned. I saw them a few times on the original DBT, but that was a long time ago. It does make you wonder why they were never made.

If I still had a pic of what that head looked like next to all my other SS Goku heads, you'd see how enormous it is. It's hugeeeeeeeeeeeeeee compared to every other one. I could tell you that til I'm blue in the face, but that's the last time I'll bother. My Cell Saga Tien is actually made from the AoF SS Goku. Inside his chest were two of those small "earth magnets". The hands have nothing special about them. The Recoome is definitely Irwin's because it's their exact early prototype, Jakks just took that early clay sculpt and refined it into a figure. I think they messed with the chin and nose too much because the prototype looks better. You can also tell that the prototype didn't have such a long neck because the chin is closer to his collarbone. I think they put the hair on the head a little rotated too. The hair is a separate piece. I still have the head somewhere, but not willing to dig it out just to see if it looks better with the hair rotated a few degrees counter clockwise. Dude....I own the Red hair version of the head. I know it's size. I have Legendary Struggles Goku, USS Goku in Armor, as well as that tan SS Goku on the lean body that you posted to compare it to. There's nothing wrong with the size... What I meant about the arthritis hands...I'm not going to repost the prototype pic. You can see for yourself. The hands don't have an action feature, but they were sculpted open and slightly curled like that so that the arms could be spread wide open at the sides to recreate the scene of Vegeta and him being sucked together as they fused. That's what I was trying to say.... It's the same reason the back is arched and the butt sticks out slightly. Also why the Vegeta it came with has it's hands open. As for Recoome, I think it is improper to say the figure is Irwin's because of a very rough and stationary clay sculpt was made by them. Had that prototype been articulated...then yes it would have been theirs. Jakks used the clay sculpt as a reference and made the figure. It belongs to them. Just look at the thing, it screams Jakks. I think at most it could be considered a joint effort. About that chin...it certainly seems to stick out just as much if not more on the PT...

Why is Jakks Broly on this list?

timone317 The Frieza's were definitely Jakks figures, especially with all that articulation. As for Recoome, it's Jakks. They probably just used that statue prototype as a reference. But really, that's what it is, a very rough-looking statue.

Branjita I don't know why you think the Art Of Fusion head is too big. It looks fantastic to me and is definitely one of my favorite Goku heads. The arthritis hands were part of the magnet gimmick I think. Refer to that prototype pic I posted. Vegeta and Goku's arms are stuck out as they are sucked into each other.

Just because not everybody may know this, Wal-Mart, Target, and pretty much everywhere else stopped selling jakks DBZ figures after about series 16. The only places you could find them were Toys R Us, and comic book stores. I don't remember Gamestop still selling them...I think they stopped as well. This made collecting really annoying (I stopped entirely) as TRU was a pretty specific trip. I went there a few times specifically looking for DBZ figures and if they didn't have new stuff it was a waste of a trip. I don't really remember why Wal-Mart and Target stopped carrying them... I haven't thought about it in a long time. I remember the last figures I ever remember finding at Target, which is where I did a lot of my buying, was series 15 or 16. SS Goku in armor and battle damaged Mystic Gohan were the last figures I ever saw there. I believe the last figures I ever saw at Wal-Mart were the reissues of Nappa, Raditz, Jeice, etc on the yellow cards. I remember finding those there and they were on clearance and I bought almost every figure they had. I think... the reason they stopped selling them was because DBZ was no longer on Cartoon Network at all...? Just as a little bonus history, on one of my rare trips to TRU, I remember the pegs were full of the trilogy Tien, Eis Shenron, and DB kid Goku. I think they still had tons of the Soul of Hyper Figuration figures they had renamed Ultimate Figure Series. Those sold horribly because the price was really high I remember. I was like "I'd buy these, but they are a rip off". They had in the clearance bin a lot of DBGT figures, mostly Pan. I'm disappointed I didn't stock up on Eis Shenrons back then. There were at least 4 of them. That explains.....a lot. I remember my mother buying me battle damaged Namek Vegeta and Mecha Frieza from Target (still own them), but after that I never found any at Target. I don't think I ever saw DBZ figures at Walmart. It's really sad that that happened...Target and Walmart not carrying them anymore...the Jakks market could be so much better now if they had kept on with it. I like a little bit of a hunt for a figure as much as the next guy, but hunting for Jakks is rididiculous. Every time I get money, I have to make command decisions on which Jakks figures to buy, because I know that I may never see them again. It's very stressful.

How do the Unifive Ultimate Evolution figures compare to Jakks and Irwin? I'm especially curious about the Vegeta one.

Honestly a lot of members on this forum like to hate on Jakks. When I joined I was really weirded out and taken aback by it, since when I last collected DBZ figures (3+ years ago), Jakks were in VERY high demand. Irwin figures are always easy to find and have reasonable prices on eBay, and I would say that there is a reason (or two) for that.
Everyone is always saying "I wish Irwin didn't go bankrupt". Well I don't. I wish Irwin's creative team and Jakks's creative team did the fusion dance to become the best DBZ figure company in the world. Imagine the figures we could have gotten...

Regarding series 12...just the lack of the Irwin paint job. Any other complaints I have for Jakks figures has to do with the awkward sculpts. The Art of Fusion Goku and Vegeta figures (NOT the Irwin remakes, those were incredible, the larger figures with horrible heads) immediately come to mind. Armored Krillin...Series 13 SS Vegito...ALL the GT figures...just not very satisfying. It's so weird complaining about something that happened 13 years ago but I wish Irwin had never went bankrupt. They weren't perfect either but they made some very nice figures (loved everything from Series 6 up to 11). barely read everything else but I caught a few things. I have no complaints on the skin used on Jakks figures, in fact I liked it quite a bit, I thought it looked great with the painted clothes, but I also really like the completely painted Irwin figures. The dry brushing was hit or miss but I think every figure was more enjoyable to look at when they were painted from top to bottom. Well dude, if these are the fusion figures you're talking about... Then I don't know a single person who likes that Vegeta head. It's horrendous. The Goku head, however, looks amazing, and it has been re-used on figures such as Red Hair Goku. I think you may be thinking of the prototype pictures on the cardbacks, because the Goku prototype had a freakish looking head just like the Vegeta, but for whatever reason they decided not to use it. As for these figures' bodies, Not many people (myself included) like that Goku body. It has an awkward arched back, steroid overdose blob biceps, weird pants, rounded boots, and as Branjita said, "arthritis hands". Unfortunately Jakks thought it was a good idea to use this body on almost every Goku they released in later years. As for the Vegeta body, it's not as bad as Goku, but I think it's still pretty shite, especially since they decided to boost the height on the new Goku body. It resulted in Vegeta looking like a midget, it's terrible. As for the armored Krillin, I don't know people don't like it. I own it and love it. It's just a bit too big and skin is oddly tan. Like, GT tan. I don't have a problem with the facial expression. I also don't have a problem with the eyes being white (same as the Irwin figure). I've always thought it to be stupid that they got rid of the white in Krillin's eyes when he got older. Series 13 SS Vegito had a shite head, I agree, but a great body. I did a head swap of it with the less articulated Vegito. As for the GT figures.....we don't really need to talk about that. Everyone knows most of those figures were big-headed crap. BUT, Nova and Omega came from that line. Just remember that.
