Here are some more Videl WIPs:    The legs are from another Figam (the Anzu Futaba figure's legs were too short and skinny). I sculpted the boots (which took forever!) I'll post more pics as I progress. I still need to repaint her eyes to match Videl's but I'm still a wee bit nervous about that part... |

Been working on a few custom figures lately (BD Goku, BD Piccolo, Super Buu, and Videl) so I thought I'd post some WIP photos of my favorite so far, Videl:    Her head is originally from a Sabre Zero Figma. I trimmed some of the bangs and sculpted the rest of the hair. I kept it in two parts so I can remove the face as well. The torso is from an Anzu Futaba figure with a slight modification to her tank top. |

Hey guys,
I forget which thread we were talking about the Kinnikuman (S.H. Figuarts) and using his torso for BD Goku or Tien but I just got him in the mail (from BBTS $55) and here he is with Goku's head/legs:

I think this torso looks awesome on Tien.
I just have them stuck together with sticky tack for now but with a little modification, I don't think it would be too difficult to get the torso attached to the legs. Although it does have a strange hinge inside the torso (I'll show a picture in my next post), plus the head peg is bigger than the DBZ figuarts heads. Overall I think the size is perfect for Tien (or even a battle damaged Piccolo) and is very close for BD Goku. I'll have to mess around a little more and I'll get back to you guys.

Has anyone seen the Medicos SAS Kinnikuman or other figures by them? I've got some of the JoJo figures, they are fantastic and great quality similar to Figuarts and others. The JoJo figures are scaled comparably to Figuarts and some other 6" figures. While looking for pictures comparing the Figuarts Kinnikuman to DBZ, I stumbled onto the SAS ones. I was wondering if they might work for a Tien or other customs? I want to say 1andonly5711 used a Medicos Buffalo Man as a base for his latest Nappa (which turned out really good and the height looked pretty good too). I keep looking for them on ebay but they seem a bit pricey. |

I LOVE this Nova. His face is perfect (both of them) and the wings are fantastic. Shenron is amazing as well and I really like the texturing on SS4 Gogeta's arms/chest. It's some of your better sculpting (and painting as well). The only thing with SS4 Go is the painting of the hip/leg joints. I think this is probably to toughest part to work on with the Figuarts line. I struggle with it A LOT! I probably spend more time painting, super gluing, etc. the joints than on the rest of the figure! These are really sweet and you are definitely getting better.
