I'm hoping SDCC's exclusive will be an anime colored Nappa. I have the manga colored one right now and I pretty much refuse to open it, because I don't like it like it is and I don't want to spend the time repainting it when it's likely they'll offer a repainted version in anime colors soon.

So random (slightly off-topic) thought I had while trying to figure out where to fit the Shenron figure among the rest; until the new Kid Goku is out, we don't actually have a figure of anyone who ever summoned Shenron in canon. The closest would be Goku in BoG/DBS but outside of customs we don't have a figure of base-form Goku in the outfit the SSG one is in (modern belt + Go kanji). Not a big issue but just something I thought was odd, and another reason we really need a good Bulma figure soon. I'm hoping SDCC's exclusive will be an anime colored Nappa. As far as what the figure is, it's anyones guess at this point really, the only thing we 'know' is it'll just be a repaint as the most effort they've put in for SDCC was the Frieza saga Goku which had a new belt and kanji, all the rest were repaints. I had a couple of ideas earlier but one I forgot to mention was SSB Vegito, maybe with brown hair replacing the black too. |

Are you being ironic?  Goku is by far the most beloved and popular character. Vegeta is also popular, but I think the reason Vegetas didn't sold out, is that they made poor looking figures. SSBlue Vegeta and PC Vegeta are the worse.. Scouter Vegeta and Super Vegeta are great, but kinda recent. That's why they are easy to find, imo. I'm not. I actually don't have a precise idea for the english speaking countries, but in the french speaking areas, that's definitely going that way. Polls on the net give Vegeta a huge advantage when asking who's favorite character. Gohan and Trunks adult are 2 and 3 or reverse. At best, Goku is 4th (sometimes not) and mostly way behind them. By going on You Tube videos, you just have to read the comments or simply watch the videos themselves to get the Vegeta popularity and also the hate growing on Goku. I don't know where the most of you guys here are living, in the US or UK i guess, but be aware that in France a huge majority of DBZ and DBS fans are mad about Vegeta and many of them are tired of seeing Goku being the number one. The last DBS episode has resulted to a real hysteria because of Vegeta power up making him the number one (at least for now). Interesting, I had no idea. I'm from Brazil, there's a big fandom of Vegeta, but Goku is still the most popular here. Gohan is also very popular, but fans here are pissed with his continuous failures in Super. As Majin Tomato said, even if Goku is not your number one character, you still need him in your collection. That also explains his sales. |

I think the most exciting thing about this years SDCC is whether it marks the end of the 1.0 sculpt. Prior to last years kaioken Goku and Premium Cell the last recycles were 2016's SDCC Broly and Piccolo & Gohan re-releases. The last time the 1.0 body was used for an original figure was the RoF Goku SSGSS. Makes me wonder whether a Kaioken SSGSS Goku is on the cards this year. Little could be done with RoF Beerus, Whis and Vegeta and given the demand for a new Piccolo and Krillin I think it's unlikely they'd limit either to an SDCC exclusive. That only leaves Vegetto and the Androids left............ They might want to get a repaint of Krillin out before a 2.0. Like they did with SSJ Vegeta. That is a very good point sir! Especially how they were showing off the cell saga Krillin in the Tamashii Showroom along with the more recent Vegeta and Nappa figuarts not so long ago. It's possible they will give us Krillin repaint for SDCC before giving us an 2.0 saiyan saga version. |

I was thinking the other day about the perfect SDCC figure. Imagine this  But it includes the Base, SSJ, SS2 and SSB head on the 2.0 body with 2-3 faces for each form. |

No offense, but I don't think you have any idea how SDCC exclusives work. SDCC exclusives are intended to be recolored variants of existing figures that Tamashii can make cheaply to sell at the convention. It won't be anything important or new because they're intended for a limited run. As was pointed out not long ago, the most "new" pieces we've had was a new belt for a Goku figure. And frankly, since I'm assuming you mean Buu saga Krillin and not Super's pre-shave Krillin... WE DON'T EVEN HAVE BUU YET. Even the flibbertigibbets at Tamashii aren't going to make Buu saga Krillin before Saiyan Saga/Super Krillin and Buu, ESPECIALLY since Buu Saga Krillin would need to be built pretty much entirely from scratch, and CERTAINLY not for a con exclusive.
From what I can tell, the likely candidates are: Premium Color Krillin (personally the one I think is most likely), Arlia Vegeta 2.0 (tie in with the recent Saiyan Vegeta re-release), and Anime/Premium Color Nappa.
