I cant see Nappa already being a SDCC this year. It's too early for him, they usually give the figure a few years on the market before they give them the SDCC treatment.
My guess would be Krillin, since its always a paint reshading.

Yargdat is the only one I'd pick up, but I'd buy like 3 of them haha I would love Yardrat Goku! I would even like farmer Goku, but Yardrat would be cooler. |

I think the most exciting thing about this years SDCC is whether it marks the end of the 1.0 sculpt.
Prior to last years kaioken Goku and Premium Cell the last recycles were 2016's SDCC Broly and Piccolo & Gohan re-releases.
The last time the 1.0 body was used for an original figure was the RoF Goku SSGSS. Makes me wonder whether a Kaioken SSGSS Goku is on the cards this year. Little could be done with RoF Beerus, Whis and Vegeta and given the demand for a new Piccolo and Krillin I think it's unlikely they'd limit either to an SDCC exclusive.
That only leaves Vegetto and the Androids left............

I never thought I'd see the day where the SDCC exclusive is difficult to determine. As great as a Premium Color (anime) Nappa would be, personally, I'd much rather see an Awakening Goku recolor with a pale orange skin tone. It would be great to have that figure updated, especially since the new Goku will be coming out around SDCC.  |

There is something i've been wondering for quite a long time now:
we all now Vegeta is by far the most popular charachter of all sagas and Goku is not that much beloved.
However, many gokus figures are sold out, and Vegetas are still easy to find!
Where is the logic in that?!

Vegeta is also popular, but I think the reason Vegetas didn't sold out, is that they made poor looking figures. SSBlue Vegeta and PC Vegeta are the worse.. Scouter Vegeta and Super Vegeta are great, but kinda recent. That's why they are easy to find, imo. |

Scouter Vegeta and Super Vegeta are great, but kinda recent. That's why they are easy to find, imo. I was championing Majin Vegeta for so long, but I didn't pre-order it. It's way overpriced, especially for a figure so inaccurate. I'm not sure if I'm getting it. Scouter Vegeta has additional height to an already too tall figure, the lack of paint, and the re-use of the Super Vegeta hair would throw off my display with having the regular scouter Vegeta and Super Saiyan Vegeta's smaller hair. And yes, SSJ Blue Vegeta isn't that great of a figure. I skipped out on it, but got it later on amazon. It's too tall and it was overpriced. The new SSJ Vegeta is great although also not very accurate to Super Vegeta. He needs much more bulk. The Goku figures have been more accurate, and this new Goku is fantastic. It's possibly the greatest figure in the line, and it's of the most popular character. |

I had no idea kid Goku had 2 tails, nice! one thing that is bothering me is the "hole" in his shoulders. wtf? looks like 90's figures. Other than that (and scale too), looks awesome.

I actually don't have a precise idea for the english speaking countries, but in the french speaking areas, that's definitely going that way. Polls on the net give Vegeta a huge advantage when asking who's favorite character. Gohan and Trunks adult are 2 and 3 or reverse. At best, Goku is 4th (sometimes not) and mostly way behind them. By going on You Tube videos, you just have to read the comments or simply watch the videos themselves to get the Vegeta popularity and also the hate growing on Goku. I don't know where the most of you guys here are living, in the US or UK i guess, but be aware that in France a huge majority of DBZ and DBS fans are mad about Vegeta and many of them are tired of seeing Goku being the number one. The last DBS episode has resulted to a real hysteria because of Vegeta power up making him the number one (at least for now). |

For longtime fans of the series, Goku has been with us through every stage of Dragonball, from OG Dragonball through GT into Super. So while, for many of us, he may not be our favorite... that doesn't mean he's not an instant buy. Anyone collecting Dragonball figures is going to get AT LEAST Goku. He's also fairly interchangeable... I know the super duper fans can correct me on this, but a lot of the details that shift in Goku's outfit don't change THAT much between arcs, at least not in ways that are super glaring on a shelf. If you're a casual fan collecting just the saiyan saga characters, a Goku from the Freeza or Buu saga is easier to sub in than, say, Cell saga Krillin.
And for those who ARE particular, they're typically making displays for every arc... and if you're gonna do that, Goku will be present in each one.
