I have a feeling its just going to be battle damaged Goku (Warrior Awakening Goku) but with anime accurate darker gi, boots, and with painted details of blood and scuffs and such. It seems like something that Tamashii would do as its very simple to do that basically won't cost them money to do. I think it would be too soon for that one, plus he's supposed to be a rereleased pretty soon in a few months. But you never know...

I don't like the idea of having a cool figure as a SDCC release. I mean, except for arlian Vegeta, all SDCC releases were better than the original ones, and a lot of people don't have the chance to get it. S.H. figuarts DBZ is popular in lots of countries, and it's just unfair that only US collectors have the chance to get it. In Brazil, for instance, I'd have to drop 200 dolars to get Freeza Saga Goku (by the time it was released). And the minimum salary here is a bit more than that..

SDCC figures ideally should be figures the majority of people can skip. Last year's wasn't and that's why he was so expensive to begin with. It was perhaps THE iconic version of Goku. Hopefully this year's won't be the same situation.

Yeah, I know it's not the same even for some US collectors, but the cost to send to Brazil, for instance, sucks. Price of the figure + shipping (usually expensive) x 3.60 (Dolar to Real) + 100% taxes. Just for comparision, a normal release gets here around 65 dollars, thanks to a distributor called "PizziToys". I only have SDCC Piccolo and SS Gohan because at the time, the line wasn't so popular and our economy was in better days.. so it would be nice from Tamashii if they don't release a must have figure. Imagine how much Awakening Goku would cost if he was only a SDCC release?

It would've been an insane amount but luckily they've never made an entirely new figure (new mold) for the SDCC exclusives before and I really doubt they'd start doing that, seems like it'd be a waste of money for them. The most effort they've done was obviously last year which just involved some slight changes/additions to the normal Goku figure.

Anyone watch DBS today? Looks like Goku is going kioken blue next week. Perhaps now we have our answer for this years SDCC exclusive with blue Goku as the base.

Bluefin just posted a question on facebook: which 6th universe warrior should be released? I answered Tien and Yamcha, lol. But if I had to choose I'd go with Hit.

*sigh* I guess I would vote for the guy that looks like Frieza... maybe they could use some of his parts to make a 1st form Frieza later...

I answered Majin Vegeta but for reals I wouldn't mind Hit, Cabba, and Frost. They need to figure out some sort of balance between DBS and DBZ though. We're getting one too many back to back Super releases.

We're getting one too many back to back Super releases. It's been said several times that Super is in the mind of most collectors and fans right now, so I wouldn't be surprised if we see even more before we get too many older releases. As for which release? I would go with Hit over Cabba or Frost. Frost can almost be a SDCC of Frieza. Also Cabba looks like a bunch of twigs with a Gohan-like head attached, so I cringe to think of their interpretation of the character in Figuart form.

Frost and Frieza are different enough that he would require a decent amount of new parts in both his Final and First Form. It would mostly be part swapping but they wouldn't be able to get away with simply repainting. As for Hit, he would be a completely new mold and Cabba as well. They've gotten better at getting the likeness down so I'm not worried in that regard. The figures would actually come out pretty amazing imo.

Dragon Ball at 10:47 and 16:19 The future is looking VERY good for us. Adam mentions Nappa, Bardock, and Buu and that they've got an ongoing long term plan for the franchise
