I'm actually a big fan of the character. I find him very entertaining. I have recently bought a few RE-MENT food accessories, so hoping they scale nicely with Beerus and Whis.
I'm still expecting Champa, Vados and Jaco to come next, and i'm actually semi hoping we see a Super Bulma at some point........being foremost a manga reader, I'm not overly familiar with GT or the SSJ4 form so that's a pass for me.

Lol not buying it, skipping it like Ultimate Gohan... Don't see a huge reason in having a whis, I don't watch DBS (yet) so I really have no need for a Whis, a Beerus on the other hand I want. Beerus is a reason in and of itself. You can't have Beerus without Whis. You have a point, but I can pose Beerus fighting the entire gang or something because apparently he is the strongest one of them all (pls don't spoil anything else lol). I might buy Whis down the line, assuming it doesn't go up, Ultimate Gohan didn't. I might change my mind when I see a review, but for now I am not interested. |

He does have limited mobility, but I think comparing the brand new mold for Whis to the often recycled Goku mold with a new head is a bit of a stretch. I expect Whis to go up, while Ultimate Gohan to go the way of Android 16. Especially with Super currently airing, and while quite a few people are waiting on the dub, there are obviously a lot on boards like this that are watching it as it airs. |

I do not dislike that whis is released, what bothers me is that if you pass through August, with June July happens?
I really hope SS4 be announced very soon, but my head says will come out first Goku God.

Might be skipping June for another exclusive release. Something like the Mexico Exclusive Goku, which ended up being the 2015 SDCC in a different box. We'll just have to wait and see!!!! |

Does it mean by having the price of Whis lower mean that it will come with less accessories? Like you figure the higher the price its to accommodate all what it comes with. Although I can't remember what was the retail price of the OG Trunks as it does with a lot of accessories. But from what I noticed a figure is less priced because it doesn't come with a lot as to a figure with a lot of accessories it cost a lot more. But then again, it all depends on the popularity of the character I guess. Like a figure with 2-3 accessories at times cost like $100-$200 and up because its a popular character. But whatevers...
But Whis is like a MUST with Beerus!

I just wish they weren't saturating us with Super characters. I don't mind the Whis release since he goes with Beerus but we need a break after that. Go back to the classics at least for a little while.

I know why they do it to cash on the current popularity of DBS but it would be better if they focused more on DB DBZ characters until DBS has been on its way for a while. They can always milk that later on. |

I'm more mad that they had some amazing Buu Saga stuff coming up and SSJ4 Goku and they just put them to the side for DBS. They gotta keep it varied so both new and old fans can get excited.

I have to agree with you. But I don't doubt they're going to try and push DBS stuff as much as possible while it's airing in Japan to cash in on any hype they can get for it. After watching the latest episode though, I can't say I would mind a Frost figure... |

At the very least...Whis is now out of the way. Can't argue with that. I'd just rather get the DXF version. I'm gonna display him in only one position anyway (the one hand in the back and the other holding the staff) since he barely moves nor he can move from the waist down in the figure with this big, unarticulated, dress-like thing . Unless he comes with food or some hilarious face it's just a waste of money. I honestly would have been alright with a Figuarts Zero version. I just wish they weren't saturating us with Super characters. I don't mind the Whis release since he goes with Beerus but we need a break after that. Go back to the classics at least for a little while. I'm really afraid that Super is going to put a lot of those, me specifically, who want specific classic releases at a huge disadvantage on collecting this line. It's going to make the increased releases irrelevant if they're characters that aren't very highly demanded at the moment. |
