I can understand the general "wtf"-ness of the prototypes for Vados & Whis. Whis for all intents & purposes is a background character; his iconic look is standing still, and he does that for 95% of his screentime. If that's the case then why not a Figuarts Master Roshi? Most fans have a bigger connection with him, than with Whis, despite both being the "all-knowledgable Obi Wan"-like characters.
Someone can say "well you can't have Beerus without Whis," which is true, however you can't have Scouter Vegeta without Nappa, the Androids/Cell without Dr. Gero*, Ultimate Gohan without Super Buu, etc., yet here we are. They want to capitalize on pairing characters up, but it seems so far it's only the characters THEY want to make, not the ones WE want & have been waiting patiently for.
*i can see how Gero is a little far-fetched, but come on. he was the mastermind behind the entire Cell Saga. I'm just using him as an example, not that I'm specifically jonesing for him. but the point is, if they are willing to show a Jaco prototype, who is nothing but comic relief, other "classic characters" deserves a spot too

I was hoping for them to show Vegeta turning into a SSG or how goku and vegeta learn how to go SSG SSJ The biggest missed opportunity imo. That would've been great and I personally would've loved every second of that. Well at least it's comforting to know that Vegeta was able to attain god form on his own unlike Goku who needed help. That in and of itself is pretty awesome although seeing how would've been icing on the cake. We may actually get more insight into the SSGSS form as the series progresses so there's still hope for that! Lets hope they show something in the future. Maybe theres a reason for a figuarts SSJ3 Vegeta |

He's already attained SSGSS which is leaps and bounds above in power and also, once you go blue, you can't go back. SSGSS is simply a Super Saiyan transformation with the power of god ki instead of regular ki. Pretty much, we won't ever see Goku and Vegeta go yellow SSJ anymore... As for them showing SSJ3 Vegeta, I personally think he was a tease for an upcoming Buu Saga Vegeta (hopefully with striped, accurate tips). The SSJ3 will still come out but they didn't wanna showcase the main attraction so they only displayed the SSJ3 version. Just my thoughts! |

They are turning damn near EVERY Saiyan SS3. |

So......with the Champa Arc now in full swing, is anyone else getting excited to see some SHF's of the new tournament competitors? The battle between Goku and Botamo looks good, but personally I'm keen to see a Hit, Cabba and Frost. Perhaps they will be our next releases after Whis, Champa and Vados?? |

The battle between Goku and Botamo looks good, but personally I'm keen to see a Hit, Cabba and Frost. Perhaps they will be our next releases after Whis, Champa and Vados??  While I am excited about the new characters, it would be nice if they would just make fans happy( or shut fans up) and come out with some of the old favorites...Nappa, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, and maybe even release a Buu. |
