Okay first of all I bought the wrong size of magnets. So my plan was to implant magnet into his forehead and magnet for his bangs. Sadly my idea/plan fail, because the magnet I bought is a lil bit big to sculpt hair bangs. So all i did is implant the magnet in his forehead and for now I am using hair pin. Please excuse the paint app, I am not done with it, I just wanted to paint to see details I need to work on. One last thing is his face, something looks off, it doesn't look like A.super 17. Maybe after painting his eye liner, I hope it will look a lil like A.super 17. First Image is the original plan about hair bangs with magnet. Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

I just finished watching the Super 17 Saga and I really like Super Android 17 as a character. Good design. The eyes are an important detail to get down if he's going to look like him. He has a variety of looks from what I saw. In my opinion, one of the first two is best. Probably the first. But what's consistent with all of them is the thinning of the eyes. It should be rounded upward ever so slightly. If you look at this other Figuarts Suoer 17, they just kept the same eye design as the original figure and it's wrong and doesn't look Android 17-ish. That bottom eye line needs to be curved upward just slightly and the rest of the eye lines practically straight and sharp looking. His brow should not protrude much either. Don't make it look like this. As good of a paint job as this guy did, I can't believe he did NOTHING to fix the eyes.

Thanks you aussiedfan and thank you adrenaline on the pictures. 17's eye line is more pointing downwards from the inside and pointing upwards on the outside. Hope that make sense lol. It's close to looking more like a human eyes than anime eyes. If that dude would have fix the eye it would have made a lot different. The hair was still off in my opinion but it would have look like 17 a little more. But anyhow thanks again for the point out, I need to buy those detail brush again, $6 per brush for those really nice detail/thin/pointy brush lol.

Yes, it points downwards from the inside because the lower eye line is curved upward, which then comes down to a point.

About the bangs should I leave the hair pin as is? I can't find any thin plastic or rubber that curves like that.

I suppose that's fine enough. Jakks actually did pretty well with his bangs on their figure, despite the head being huge.

The Super 17 looks cool! But the eye sculpt needs to be modified. The top of his eyes don't make contact with his eyebrows and are overall much thinner than standard DBZ eyes. Also, the eyebrows need to be thinned as Super 17 only has a line for an eyebrow. He practically has no eyebrows. I would dremel the eyebrow sculpting off entirely and just use a pen or thin brush to draw them on.

Good catch, maybe that's one of the reason why he doesnt look like A.super 17 at all. I knew there's something wron with the hairline and the eyes and his jaw but I can't do anything about the jaw/chin, i dont want to mess it up and I don't know how I would modify it. I will fix these once im done with goku. Thanks again gents

Gil08, you can use warhammer green stuff from games workshop. It is good for little details Great customs, I like so much your customs Lol sorry but I'm a noob and since I started customizing I have been using epoxy from the beginning. May I ask what is this green stuff? How does it work? Is it the same as the epoxy? Maybe I need to try more different things to find out what can make my customizing easy. Also any recommendation on what is a good brand of paint to use? I have been using TAMIYA, I have never really tried other paint so I can't compare it. Sometimes tho TAMIYA paint is hard to work with, the paint get lumpy/thick. Anyhow I drop by on your custom progress and as for your first custom, you sir got skills.

gil I use model masters, testors, and folk art. Model masters is by far the best quality. It doesn't get clumpy at all.

This green stuff is used to do miniatures in warhammer. You have two components blue and yellow and you have to cut little piece then you mix bluee with yellow and you have the green stuff and it´s ready to model, depends of the mix it may take more time to dry. I don´t know if is the same like epoxy because I never use epoxy, but you need primer to fix better the paint.
