This is just out of curiosity. I just wanted to see if I am able to customize SSJ3 Vegeta but I didn't know if I am able to sculp the hair. It may look easy but trust me its not. Anyways I saw one of the thread here, I believe from "Iami2eapei2" that he was using SSj3 Goku's hair and Vegeta's face. Clever idea btw, but since I can't afford SSj3 boku, I took the complicated route by sculpting the hair. As you can see in the picture, his hair don't seems accurate. I will just continue to customize it and lets see how it will turn out. He is about 45% done, I still have lots of stuff to do. I have to add more hair, re-shape and smoothen out the hair, repaint his clothing, repaint his skin tone to a lighter color, and my worse enemy is dremelling those joints. You are probably wondering why his hair is painted, well for me it is easier to spot any uneven surfaces, fingerprints, bumps and rough edges. Hopefully it will turn out okay even if it doesn't look like SSJ3 Vegeta that I want.

The hair is looking alright. I think one of the main things you want to do for accurate hair is more than making it smooth, you want to make sure the ends are pointy and sharp. That's one of the biggest dead giveaways on telling whether hair is sculpted good or not.

Word of advice for the hair, use a loose hobby or razor blade to literally carve the form in the clay. The result should yield a nice smooth finish and crisp edge. Attack a piece from multiple angles to achieve a nice pointed peak. I did this with the last custom I made, some time ago, and the results were great!

I think because of how Vegeta's hair normally is the SS3 sculpt you have done is very nice.

Thanks fellas! Thank you for the tips and advice. Now since the hair is made of clay, the head is heavy and it will have a hard time to balance. So if i make the hair sharp and pointy, chances are it will break if the figure falls. I am still working on the hair but or i can leave it as is right now . It looks off specially the back hair. That's really looking nice. Reminds me of the Irwin SZF SS3Gotenks hair.

New Custom in Progress...SS4 Vegeta about 90% done and as you can see SS4 Goku is not even close to the finish line. I hope Goku's hair will turn out accurate. Attachment Deleted

Holy crap. The Vegeta is the best Figuarts SS4 version I have seen. I am sure your SS4 Goku will be the same
