Damn, Gil! Or, er, Mr. Simple. I absolutely love the look of that Goku. I may be a little biased because this is one of my favourite Goku looks, but I can't wait to see this custom progress!

I tried using a cape for my saiyaman but the apoxie would stick to the rubber

@great saiyaman thank you, I hope it will turn out fine when once I paint him . @ichigo, I glued the cape to his hip then applied aves apoxie and it didn't give me any trouble. Now I am hoping that when I paint it, it will stick on to it. Last time I painted cape it looks tacky and the damn paint comes off. Also if example, I applied the apoxie on the lower "skirt" and try moving the skirt, the apoxie will brake. Since I only applied the apoxie on top part of the skirt, the apoxie will stay there.

Wow this is looking fantastic and I think Ur new name suits u not that Ur customs r simple but u make them look simple to make. There always so clean and the detailing is always spot on. Have u thought about maybe just drilling a whole through one of the fist hands from figuarts goku? I don't have one in front of me so I'm not sure how it would look but who knows it might work. Ur other option might be the half open hand that everyone uses on there yamcha customs maybe if u cut the fingers and re glued them that set of hands might work I'll post a pic of both hands I'm talking about in a min

I am not home home so I am not sure exactly the name, I believe it's "loctite" I believe branjita uses the same type of glue.

Branjita yes that is the glue that I use along with brush crazy glue. I like to use the loctite more and the brush crazy glue is only when I need to protect the paint from rubbing. @ichiho you should check out the link that bran provided above and it will show a picture of the loctite glue. Also there's a lot of very useful tips/advice you can get from his link.

I've never tried the brush on type, but I do use a toothpick to brush loctite glue over joints before and after painting them to seal in the paint to prevent rubbing. I bet the brush on type might be easier. Gil, if you want to add a tutorial of any sort to that guide, you're welcome to. It's not just the Branjita show after all

Yes great walk through! I would think the Quick set epoxy would be better for attaching soft rubber pieces to plastic rather than the super glue right?

Probably. Epoxy is generally a stronger hold, but it sucks to have to hold things together for 5 minutes.

Ugh I know. The worst part about customizing is the waiting around whether it be for apoxie to dry, paint to dry, glue to dry. Too much drying!! Just let me CRAFT OFF!

I agree ^, but if you have both then utilize both for stronger bond. Meaning glue the rubber and plastic let it dry then add epoxy. It's just like what I did to goku's "skirt". I glued the skirt onto his hip then after it dry I sculpted the epoxy. It sucks tho because I want to add more folds/detail on his "skirt" but I will really strict the articulation so I choose to have my figure articulated and didn't add more details. If I added the details and tried moving the legs for dynamic pose, chances are the epoxy will brake.
