Well for buyee I can only tell you that they will stuck up some fees on you, shipping cost from seller to their warehouse + minor fees + the intl shipping.

I started bidding on it at around 1200 yen or so and put in my max at 3700. When I checked back later, I'd won the auction.

Ok, that's exactly the info I wanted to know. Bid 3700, pay about 8000. The shipping on such a large, heavy item is the major variable that had me concerned.

Well, that's the caveat when you order from Jap. Shipping costs nearly equate the final price to those on Ebay. Unless, the item price itself is low. If delivery times aren't an issue, I'd suggest you ask for SAL. For the Vegeta Oozaru diorama, the average packaged weight is roughly 2700 gms and the SAL shipping should be roughly 5000 yen as calculated here.

With luck, buying one off YJ with Buyee should still be about $30 cheaper than eBay, so I hope I'm able to pull off my first purchase successfully. The one I've bid on ends tomorrow morning!

Ok! I won a Vegeta Oozaru for 3100 yen which is $28.28.
I hope after all this monkey business it is less than $100 by the time I pay for two shipping fees plus buyee's commission.
Anybody know where buyee is located? Here's the shipping prices listed in the auction (a little higher than some of the Oozaru Vegetas I previously bid on and did not win).
Shipping / 120 size from Aichi) Yu-pack charge 1,230 yen Aichi 1,340 yen Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma, Saitama, Chiba, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Yamanashi, Nagano, Niigata, Toyama, Ishikawa, Fukui, Gifu Shizuoka Mie Shiga Kyoto Osaka Hyogo Nara Wakayama 1,440 yen Aomori, Iwate, Miyagi, Akita, Yamagata, Fukushima Tottori Shimane Okayama Hiroshima Yamaguchi Tokushima Kagawa Ehime Kochi 1,540 yen Fukuoka Saga Nagasaki Kumamoto Oita Miyazaki Kagoshima 1,750 yen Hokkaido 1,850 yen Okinawa
So which one of those places is Buyee located in?

Including Buyee's fees, the cost so far has been $35.52 (3100 yen winning bid price + 700 yen in Buyee fees = 3800 yen = $35.52 currently) (which was automatically taken from my paypal without my consent/doing... which is kind of weird how they can do that...) Buyee's warehouse is located at: 4F 3-22-25 Hasune, Itabashi-ku, Tokyo 174-0046 And according to that seller, the price from Aichi (where the item is) via Japan's domestic mail service named Yu-pack to Tokyo (where the warehouse is) is 1340 yen ($12.23). I looked up what a 120 size package is, and it has something to do with the size of the box and is kind of like priority mail flat rate box where you're charged for the size and not the weight (up to a certain weight limit). So since Oozaru Vegeta is really big, that's a 120 size box, and for that size box, the items can weigh as much as 15kg (33 lbs). He doesn't weigh that much, but his shipping price is based on the size not weight. So if that's what they charge me for domestic shipping, the running total will be $47.75. As long as the shipping to the US via EMS is less than $52 I will be very satisfied, as I wanted to spend less than $100 to get him. If my total goes above $120 I'll be because then I would have been better off buying off ebay. My Shenron is about the size of that Oozaru Vegeta, but probably weighs less, and he's almost 6 pounds wrapped in a box. So let's do some calculations... 5 pounds = 2.26kg... round up to 2.5kg... then the cost of shipping from Tokyo to the US via EMS will be 4700 yen = $42.91 6 pounds = 2.72kg... round up to 3kg... then the cost of shipping from Tokyo to the US via EMS will be 5400 yen = $49.28 7 pounds = 3.18kg... round up to 3.5kg... then the cost of shipping from Tokyo to the US via EMS will be 6100 yen = $55.68 8 pounds = 3.62kg... round up to 4kg... then the cost of shipping from Tokyo to the US via EMS will be 6800 yen = $62.06 Those are EMS prices. UPS is available, but their prices are actually higher for these weights and not worth calculating. So based on those numbers, my total is going to be somewhere between $90.66 and $109.81... so I think I'll be satisfied/happy about this purchase.

Once you authorize your Paypal with them, they do not need additional consent to charge you once you win. They do so automatically. In your Paypal, Buyee will be listed under authorized merchants. The Oozaru Vegeta if packed in an average sized box and packing materials will weigh around 2800 gms or roughly 6 lbs as I've mentioned earlier. If there are no custom/import fees, then I think that your final landed cost would be ~$102. Thus, congrats!

The process with Buyee makes me a little impatient, or maybe it's a YJ thing. Them paying by bank transfer is slower than Yajirobe running up hill. It still says that the funds are being transferred to the seller. The seller I bought from says that they only ship on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, so I guess when that transfer finally goes through, I'll still have to wait an additional 5 days for it to be shipped to Buyee and then I'll have to wait for them to ship to me.

There's actually a brand new Oozaru Vegeta on Amazon right now for $104 free shipping. I think it just went up for sale yesterday.
