I really don't understand the hype (not that much of a hype, but still) around the DOD line. in my opinion they just look ugly, each of the figures have at least one thing that make them look wierd. and the cloths, they really didn't pull it off well, the only one who I think looks good is Broly. he doesn't look that well, but compare to the rest he looks good. but I'm not a Broly fan so I'm not going to get him. Frieza does look ok, but his face looks off to me and his looong legs just kill it. before some of you will attack me, I'll just say again that it's my opinion. only wanted to share my thoughts on that line. I am of your opinion. I am also not a fan of this line or by Broly! The only two figures which I liked are Frieza Final Form and Golden Frieza! But I am not sure if I buy it. Since I am still waiting to first images of MSP Frieza, who released in December. Then I'll decide.  |

That's very interesting. I like to see these not so popular figures being made. And it looks to be all PVC without any fabric clothes?

Yes they will look great next to the sc & hq dx. =) Hoping they are only PVC. Megahouse is going pretty deep with that many and different characters being released so often.
And well, I would have prefered King Piccolo before Kami to be honest. Would have been much better yet!

Wow a Kami! That directly makes me think of DOD kid Goku. The prototype looks very nice too!
I wonder what this line is though. If it's focused on retro anime characters (like what it's name implies) then we're in for some decent DB figures at last!

Hopefully they dive into some side characters as well like Tien,Chaozu and Yamcha. I don't mind Kami but a decent King Piccolo would be much appreciated in my collection.
