DBZFanGirl2260, I've never been a fan of clothing on a statue since I have yet to see it done properly. Megahouse is experienced in making statues so I don't see why they couldn't make this line look better than it looks now. The sculpts are actually pretty decent if it weren't for the clothing. I do understand however that it's still young as a line and I can actually compare this to how Medicom started out. At first, they looked pretty terrible but now they're among (if not) the best 1/6 figures in the market. I personally wouldn't venture into this line because the scale is too small for my collection overall, but that's just me. I collect 1/8 statues and these were marketed to be in that scale at first and now we know they're not so that really disappointed me. I'm sure the line and will get better and time will tell but for my money, there's better statues out there than these. I understand we all have our preference in what we like and I respect that.  To be perfectly on honest, as much as I love this line there are things about that I wish were different. One being the screaming faces, I don't really care for them and wish that they would do away with them. It just doesn't make sense to add them on figures that are in a basic pose like that. Also, I wish the figures were of bigger scale, I was actually surprised at how small they are by comparison than say the POP figures. I hope as time goes on and Megahouse keeps improving this line, that we see new things with them. Such as they add a different set of arms to make them more pose-able, also I would like to see them include accessories that you can put in their hands. That might add more to the price, but it would be worth it just to do more with them. Hopefully that will happen sometime in the near future. |

This line is perfection. Really excited to see where it's headed. With this line and MSP together, there's lots of great display potential for larger scale DBZ statues. That background looks sick too

The zero EX line is beautiful. I was going to hold off, but may have to give in. My issue is, with most things, the price. I usually buy from Amazon for convenience and 93.99 is a hard pill to swallow for goku. Will probably end up on my shelf though.

Geez... The DoD line is total crap. How disappointing.... The Freeza DoDs at least look passable, but it's certainly not the quality I'd expect considering the price range. I have to seriously wonder what MegaHouse is thinking with these figures. They're way off the mark.

It's the best Kid Goku figure ever in my opinion and is a statue with real cloth outfit. Nah, was never into the 1/6 scale tbh but the Gohan and Goku look pretty good. Personally, I just prefer my statues nude  . You can capture more detail than you ever can with clothing. It feels to much like a non articulated doll to me. I'll probably end up cherry picking with this line if I see anything that can fit well with MSP and Figuarts Zero EX since those are the only Dragonball statues I collect. The Buu might fit with Figuarts so I may give that a go. |

I dunno, aside from SSJ Goku's hair sculpt, I'd say the DOD line has some truly impressive and accurate sculpts across the board. Freeza, Broly, Ginyu Goku, Vegeta, and especially Piccolo all look fantastic. Buu looks a little off, but is still nice looking. The clothing aspect missed the mark with SSJ Goku, and Piccolo to a lesser extent. But as has been mentioned the issue seems to have been resolved with Ginyu Goku and Broly. I'll have the Goku coming in next week, so I'll judge for myself then. Which is something I feel a lot of people on this board should do with this line, judge for yourself when you see it in person. It's hard to judge these things without handling them in person, you don't really appreciate the mixture of real clothing with the figure in online pictures. Unfortunately the pricing is going to scare most collectors off giving these things a chance, so DOD discussion will just go around in circles here.

(Which equals to 50 dollars) |

(Which equals to 50 dollars) I agree, the D.O.D line is pretty reasonably priced on Amiami. The ones that are more expensive, is SS Broly and Golden Frieza. But even at that they are not really that bad, Broly is around $67 on amiami and Golden Frieza is around $59 on www.megatreshop.jp/products/354/ |

Next two sets of WCF. Liking Raspberry quite a bit. Worth nothing that this is the only other figure of that character other then the Freeza Force(yes, not even a Keshi exist!). The potential for Figuarts customs with the head and the Datong body is also great.  |
