He looks good IMO. But I really don't like how he looks like without the armor. Plus, would it have hurt them to make an extra super saiyan head??

I was actually interested in this line and Vegeta being my favorite character I was looking forward to his release/pictures. Now I kind of wish I didn't hear about it since I'm so disappointed. |

I think Piccolo is the best DOD to come out so far.
The ZERO EX Trunks's face just looks bad.

I too was looking forward to the vegeta DOD but I think I'm passing. It's not what I had hoped for at all. I don't like the material they use for the suit. I also wish they would have included a Super Saiyan head. Ah well. Between the vegeta and the Barbie doll trunks it looks like I won't be getting any from this line.

I can't understand why some people are going "gaga" over the new DOD line. It's really not up to par imo; especially not for the price of these figures. The figures are underscaled or out of scale with each other and the clothing gimmick isn't working. I've been hoping for a well-scaled 1/8 line for DBZ and I was looking to these but so many things about them just turned me off em. The MSP figures are more worth it IMO.
I respect both of your opinions, but I think there is something that you both need to understand. The DOD line is still in it's infancy so of course its going to have it's flaws, every figure line does when it first starts out. For example the clothes on DOD SS Goku's clothes were very baggy by the release of DOD Son Goku things had improved greatly, Megahouse is aware of the issues and are working to make them better. As for the scale, Frieza is the first figure that has been off scale. All the other releases, including SS Broly which is scheduled to come next month is on scale. Here take a look.
 As you can see that DOD SS Broly is taller than DOD SS Goku. There have might be an scale issue with Final Form Frieza/Golden Frieza but not with the rest of the figures. And for another example here is DOD Goku and DOD Vegeta
Now, for the matter of price that all depends in where you shop at to get them the prices can vary. Where I can get them at I think the prices are pretty fair, based on the quality and overall size of the figures. The bottom line, it's not fair to compare them to other figure lines because those other ones have been around awhile, and DOD is still pretty much new. The DOD line will keep improving and getting better, you just have to give it time and be patient and you will see what I am talking about.

DBZFanGirl2260, I've never been a fan of clothing on a statue since I have yet to see it done properly. Megahouse is experienced in making statues so I don't see why they couldn't make this line look better than it looks now. The sculpts are actually pretty decent if it weren't for the clothing. I do understand however that it's still young as a line and I can actually compare this to how Medicom started out. At first, they looked pretty terrible but now they're among (if not) the best 1/6 figures in the market. I personally wouldn't venture into this line because the scale is too small for my collection overall, but that's just me. I collect 1/8 statues and these were marketed to be in that scale at first and now we know they're not so that really disappointed me. I'm sure the line and will get better and time will tell but for my money, there's better statues out there than these.

This line isn't that great but Frieza, Majin Buu and Namek Saga Goku is awesome. Have a Goku right now and ordered Frieza, would be better if he wasn't off scale but oh well...

I'm just happy with the DOD line existing for the fact that they're trying something new. That alone impresses me. But it's not enough for me to buy one.. haha..
