Goku with nimbus sounds nice, I'm curious to see it.

Be realistic. Who would really buy the figures you named except for the really hardcore fans? specially in a line that is aimed mostly for the casual fan. Many people. They are releasing lots of useless characters from Star Wars and Marvel. They can release actual plot-driven villains from DBZ. I think that Frieza's elites and Ginyu Tokusentai would get sold out immediate as they are some of the most wanted characters since Irwin Toy never released them to the US market. And people have bought them from Japan ever since albeit this would be the first time they can be made available to the western retailers if released in Funko Pop format. I wouldn't say that Babidi's forces or the androids would sell as well, but I'm certain that Frieza's force would.

I really don't think people would buy those characters. Except for collectors like us. I work at a big chain bookstore that sells Funko Pops and people rarely even buy the likes of Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Freeza, etc. Why the heck would they buy someone like Ginyu?

I'm excited for these! My only gripes are that Buu looks a bit weird, and that Gohan should not be in that outfit that he wore for what, 3 episodes?

Love this Gohan! I was expecting an adult Gohan, but this one is better for sure.

Think I will get that Goku nimbus one. Any time I see a kid Goku with a nimbus figure it's instant buy.

This may be old news, but new to some. Gamestop is releasing an exclusive Pop Resurrection F Vegeta. You can pre-order it at the store now.

Well it's been almost 2 years since people stopped posting in this thread, but I'll try it anyway. I won a Funko Pop! Vegeta a long time ago, but I never new for sure if was authentic or not. Unlike Bandai, there's no Toei Sticker there I could check. If somebody could help me out to find out.. Thanks in advance!

It seems legit to me, but I'm no expert on Pops... I mean... I didn't even know there were bootleg Pops...

It seems legit to me, but I'm no expert on Pops... I mean... I didn't even know there were bootleg Pops... Thanks, problably it's the real deal, just wanna be sure. In US maybe there isn't a market for Funko POP bootlegs imo - unless you consider the rarest ones, wich are really expensive - other than that they go for around US$10. Unfortunately in Brazil they are not this cheap. While the real deal goes for 80 to 200 BRL (without shipping), the bootlegs in aliexpress cost about 30-50 shipped from China. (Keep in mind that shipping costs in Brazil are usually 25-50 BRL)

Honsetly, it's apain in the ass to identify fake Pops from authentic ones. The simplicity of some of the figures makes it sometimes damn near impossible to see the differences if you don't have an original verision at hand. Sounds stupid, but it's really helpful to trust your gut feeling, especially if you have already handled some Pops. - Is the paint job clean or are there some imperfections?
- Does the figure feel "imbalanced"? Does it topple over easily?
- Does the print job of the box feel cheapish? (I know, the authentic boxes are already not a piece of art....but still)
- Does the figure smell like chemical warfare?
- Does it have an imprint on the feet?
- Did you buy a Pop that is considered a grail for cheap. E.g. Arlia Vegeta for $20?
If you are in doubt, you really need to invest some time researching the actual figure. You will find many posts in forums, youtube, instagram etc. So try to compare your figure as thoroughly as possible. Find out what the collectors valua of the figure is and what people recently paid for an original version. You often will be able to find pictures of respective fake Pops as well, so also try to look into them. For each figure you will find different details that give away a fake. Especially the rare ones tend to be really hard to identify.
Now, in case of your Vegeta, I would say that you got an authentic one. I base this on the fact that the scouter has some transparency, which the conterfeits usually don't.

Thank you very much! It was really helpful. Considering the aspects you mentioned, it must be authentic. The only flaw that I saw was a scratch in the scouter, but it must be common, since POPs aren't perfect. Ps: I laughed in the "chemical warfare" part

I've gotten into collecting POPs over the last several months and have about 100 of them. Mostly from video games, bur I have some from Dragonball too. None of the ridiculously expensive ones though. I guess the best ones I have are the Goten and Trunks two pack, and the Galactic Toys exclusive Shenron and Zen Oh.
