I received my Giochi Preziosi DBGT Arena this afternoon in the post. A huge thanks to PGV. This thing is huge. I took a pic of it with my Figuarts Piccolo to give you an idea of the size. I'll take some more pics tomorrow of the 2 SS4 figures but at the moment the arena is staying in the box as I have nowhere for it to go for now.

Very cool. Are you gonna keep it MIB or open it? I don't think I've ever seen one of those outside of the packaging, but I'm really interested to see how it looks side-by-side with the jakks Tenkaichi Budokai stadium.

Definitely going to open the figures but not the arena just yet. Shame I don't have the Jakks one to compare it too. Wow gotta love PGV for finding ya one. And with that you kill3 birds with one stone correct? Since you wanted the SS4s and the arena. Yes I did. Probably 2 of the best SS4 figures out there and looking forward to using the arena for some display pics.

I really want that horrible Babadi Mexican bootleg on eBay lol, I've never seen it before. Go for it! Though, I'd say go for the Master Roshi if you can. He looks quite good. UGH I wanted that Roshi as 4.5 inches seems like he could fit in with the 5 inch scale, even if I had customize him a bit and give him a smaller head. It ended last night and I missed it.

^I feel ya on that. Looking forward to 'em whenever you get around to it! Got these a few days ago. Pan, Trunks, Goten, and Uub are Editions Atlas, and Nova Shenron is DeAgostini.

Just opened my Giochi Preziosi SS4 Goku and Vegeta and the first thing I notice is they are covered in a sticky substance. Has anyone else who has bought Giochi Preziosi figures had this happen? Can I clean it off?

Thanks guys.
That's weird, aussie. I think some plastics/rubbers will become oily or kind of break down over time. Or maybe due to heat? I have a knife where the rubber handle becomes greasy just sitting there. Never had it happen with a figure though. I really wouldn't know how to clean it safely.

Does anyone think putting them in the fridge for a few minutes would set the plastic again or just make things worse?

wash them with dish washing soap, Dawn if available in Australia. works on all brands of figures, if there isn't any electronics inside.

Aussie, my GP SS4Goku is the same way. I washed him, but it's stuck on there. Though I never tried the fridge idea. Still, it's the best SS4Goku figure out there by far.

I would imagine a refrigerator could wick some of the chemicals out of the figure, but I'm not so sure I'd do that, as it could contaminate your food to some extent I would imagine.
When I am customizing figures, I sometimes put the figure in the freezer after boiling it to cool it rapidly so the soft plastic parts will cool and stay permanently in the position I put I clamp them in, but I only do that for about 5 to 10 minutes. (Well, "permanently" isn't the right word. A dunk in boiling water will release the bends unless my bends were corrections in the first place--plastic has a memory and goes back to its original position when put in boiling water).
Eh... I suppose it would be fine actually, but I would try Dawn soap, then if that doesn't work, try putting the figure in freshly boiled water in a measuring cup with a handle, and leave it in there around a minute or two. Pull it out with tongs or pour the water out. When you take it out, it's going to be a bit wiggly like Jell-o and really hot, so you'd want to lay it on a towel to air-cool. When it isn't really hot to the touch anymore you can rinse it with cool water (if you want to) and then put it in the freezer if you want to.

Still, it's the best SS4Goku figure out there by far. it happened also to me, but only sometimes. With any preziosi figure. I guess its a substance to prevent articulations to attach during production process. Maybe sometimes they insert too much of it.
