Which one of these are the most valuable set for a beginner? In term of uniqueness and collection value. For me, SHF sets are the worst ones simply because they’re too common . So bad that I won’t have any Yoru figure that scales to my 5 inch figure collection…

It kind of depends, generally I would say the best line for newer collectors would be Dragon Stars, as they all typically go for about retail price still, and you can get good deals on pre-owned lots, and there's a decently large selection of characters ignoring that most of them are Goku and Vegeta. Dragon Ball evolve would be second in that similarly most figures you can get for retail price still, and they're cheaper, however they have far fewer of a selection than Dragon Stars.
But it also depends on if you're wanting an articulated collection or if you just want figures of any kind, because if it doesn't matter then probably any like gachapon line would be fairly 'easy' to collect

It depends what your goal is.
If you have a lot of money and you want the best looking figures with useful articulation: SH Figuarts.
If you like Dragon Ball Super a lot, aren't too picky about scale or character likeness, and want something reasonably posable and play-worthy: Dragon Stars.
If you want really good articulation, very cheap prices, but very limited characters available: Evolve.
If you're willing to buy an entire used collection on ebay just for the massive character diversity and such: vintage/old figures like Irwin, Jakks, etc. Buying rare figures individually will cost you as much as buying SH Figuarts, so it's not a good value.
If you want a small size, good character diversity, and don't care about how hard and expensive it can be to collect them due to them being uncommon: Shodo. They aren't that different from Evolve except they are around 3 to 3.5 inches tall.
Bootleg LEGO style figures can be as cheap as $3 at toy shows. I don't really like them though. But if you have a LEGO collection...: LEGO bootlegs
I wouldn't recommend bootlegs to anyone unless they were trying to collect Real Works figures or they wanted huge statues.

SHF, Dragon Stars and Evolve are the 3 I’d recommend. I think Bran’s kind of hit all the major reasons why. SHF is the winner really, as long as you have the money. They’re the ones everyone wants, they’re the best quality (for the most part), best likenesses, best character selection, best articulation and they retain their value pretty well (very well in some cases). There’s a reason everyone has them. Evolve is the best for people with a budget.

in terms of quality and articulation nothing beats SHF. although the prices are starting to get higher and higher even the MSRP. the good thing about the SHF line is they are starting to do more minor characters. Bran is right in that it depends on your goal. Me, I want to see my display and feel like i just watched the series in a matter of 10 minutes. Most everyone here are scale enthusiasts. if you want the 1/12 scale (more or less figuarts scale) then start with dragon stars they are cheap and they are starting to improve on their details. I would then move to the cheaper general release SHF like SROE goku, new armor trunks, etc.
