I dabbled with Lego briefly, it was the Castles stuff though.

Current Hobby - Collecting various Anime and Manga action figures. Previous Hobby - Collecting and building with Lego, specifically Bionicle. I'd love to get into the Gundam model kits though. Gundam kits are quite fun, the more you build the better you get, they may take a while but the satisfaction of the completed product pays off.

It's funny, but as much as I enjoy customizing figures, I hate building model kits. I find the process infuriating Tearing the pieces off the trees, reading instructions (or worse, not having any! Or them being in another language!), and having to build the stuff just drives me crazy

It definitely requires a lot of patience lol, which I don't have for almost anything. Yet for some reason I can zone out and build a gundam no problem, or at least I use to when I didn't work so much. But I definitely hear what you're saying branjita, the process is very meticulous.

I used to have an entire town of Lego as a kid but then we moved house and mysteriously most of the Lego went missing. Haven't really been into it since then. After completing my EVA-01 kit all I can say is I wish they had released more Dragon Ball ones. The Evangelion one was so much harder to complete.

At least the Bandai model kits that I have done are all colored plastic and snap fit. No paint or glue needed

No paint or glue needed yeah thats like the Slayers Gourry model kit i want to grab but my thought was "$350? hell no" I barely was willing to drop $90 on a 12" medicom Enma figure and even then if it wasnt limited to 600 pieces i wouldnt have touched it at that price (new price was $200, and i was like NO)

Anybody here collect silver age Batman and Spider-Man comics like I do? I collect mainly DC comics and almost all are from after Crisis on Infinite Earths up to New 52 (single issues up until I took a break in 2000 and trades after that). I have a few silver age but not many (mainly from the when DC and Marvel were reprinted here under the Australian Federal Comics label)

I just recently picked up a Batman #251, a Amazing Spider-Man #300, and a Amazing Spider-Man #50. I also have the first ten issues of Amazing Spider-Man and Amazing Fantasy #15, but those are locked up in a safety deposit box at the bank.

I actually have no idea lol. I've never bothered to see if any are worth mentioning or rare. I'm pretty sure I don't have anything that I would need a safety deposit box for. Unfortunately the period I mainly collected was when comics were on a downslide (the 90's). Also I buy to read first, collect second . Though all my issues are bagged of course.

Well the ones at the bank I've never read mainly because they're probably going to put me through college except for Amazing Fantasy #15 I'll never sell it becuase my grandpa gave it to me before he died and he kept it since it first came out in 1962. The others on the other hand I do buy to read first. If you ever have any spare time look up some random issues you have, you never know what something is going for these days.

The Evangelion one was so much harder to complete. i remember seeing the ssj vegeta and saiyan armor trunks prototypes, i really hope those get released. Similar story, I had a huge collection as a kid, some dbz stuff and other random figures, we ended up moving and they were no where to be found, years later my parents copped to donating them all to make room lol
