Hey everyone !
Before I start, I wanted to add a quick disclaimer that it is my first time ever posting here so forgive me if things aren’t in the correct category but I have been a long time reader, since a kid I remember coming to this website to view all the amazing posts by everyone and how much knowledge everyone had on dragon ball merchandise.
I’m in my 20s now and finally able to start my own collection however I’ve encountered a small or big problem, the scale of dragon ball figures compared to figures of other shows or anime.
I have been a long time fan of the 3.75 scale for figures, making Gashapon a big yes for me however I’ve found that, 6 inch scale is generally more widely available for all shows and anime. S.H Figuarts and Figmas are generally comparable in scale and ideal if you want a Goku and a Gon for example, to match realistically to their own heights.
Although the 3.75 inch scale is my favourite, there aren’t many figures that scale to the Gashapon such as DC and Naruto. I have a feeling that S.H Figuarts are my only option in terms of scale to other shows, even if I do prefer the Gashapon figures due to their size and beautiful quality, Figuarts seem to have lost their shine for a couple years now.
Is there any advice someone could give me please ? Also I have a feeling that Gashapon are overall more affordable than Figuarts.

Hey Filly! You might like Shodo because they are around GI Joe/Star Wars ~3.5 to 3.75" scale I think, but they are probably awfully expensive now that they are 10 years old. There's a French Facebook group called Echelle compatible pour SH Figuarts (Ici on mesure!) www.facebook.com/groups/955352674908401 you might want to join and look around at. They often post photos of Iron Man with SH Figuarts SS Goku and other stuff. I only casually look at that group, but my overall opinion is that SHF DBZ figures don't scale too well with Marvel figures, but it's mostly because of proportions. Marvel stuff tends to have basketball and super model proportions for almost every character (long limbs and comparably small heads). DBZ stuff has a tendency to have a larger head, some of which (like Goku) is actually closer to REAL human proportions than Marvel stuff tends to be. But... then you get to the smaller characters like Krillin and kid Gohan and if you had them next to Spiderman it'd look like Spiderman was standing next to two sports team mascots of Krillin and Gohan with giant beachball sized heads. Here's an example image that Deaim Day posted in that group:
