Super Sayian Kefla (S.H. Figuarts)

She's pretty painfully priced at $62 (feels $20 too high, but I haven't been buying Figuarts recently), but I'm still thinking about pre-ordering her this evening. p-bandai.com/us/item/N2587685001001



I love using her in the game Dokkan Battle, and if they eventually make SS2 Caulifla and SS2 Kale and neither one of them look unnecessarily raunchy, then I'd be very upset about not buying Kefla when I had the chance, because I'd certainly buy those two girls as well.

I'm really happy they didn't make Kefla look sexy. I am soooooo tired of seeing female DB characters looking like One Piece females. I am unbelievably tired of that crap.

Kefla costs half a minimum wage here.. that hurts even more lol

You make some good points. I guess we’ll have to wait & see when the figure comes out to make a final analysis.

Here's the height chart I made many months ago based on watching scenes of DBS, using the character model sheets, and somewhat basing it on all characters having a relatively similar head size (Berzerk Kale slightly excluded... she, just like LSS Broly, have larger heads than other characters). It's pretty similar to the comparison dipper showed from a video game. You'd have to find my original post where I posted this comparison I made (wherever that was) or throw this into Photoshop in order to figure out whether I changed SS Kefla's proportions or not. I would have said. You'll note in the character design sheet posted by dipper, that non-SS Kefla and SS Kefla have fairly similar head sizes in that, yet non-SS Kefla is significantly taller in the way they Photoshopped those character design sheets into a one page display for a magazine. Regardless, none of the female DB/Z/S characters in the Figuarts line have heads the same size as the Goku figures, so her head is surely going to be big. She'll likely have a head just the same size as Bulma and Lunch, which if you look at people's pics of Lunch or Bulma with Goku... they have significantly bigger heads. Kefla is a shorter character than Bulma or Lunch, so she'll surely be a shorter figure than either of them as well, just based on looking at the size of her body. She, Caulifla, non-SS Kale, and Videl are pretty much the only main female adults in the anime who are shorter than the incredibly similarly sized Bulma, Chi Chi, Android 18, and Lunch.

With that said, I think they did a good job on this figure, but I agree, the faces could have been more dramatic. One of her emotionally upset and forming that final blast of hers would have been cool if they matched the anime artwork. 

Definitely a bit bobble-headed but hopefully looks better in person. I'm just happy the line finally has another female fighter in its ranks.
