I've wanted to add Krillin to my collection since I first started collecting in 2018, but knowing it only retailed at about 40-50 USD, I can't bring myself to pay any more than $100 for him, and I'd guess that even THAT would be considered cheap to some collectors who missed out on him!
I've heard many people say in the past 2 years that Krillin is one of the best figures in the entire S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball line, and while I can't deny that he looks amazing, I've just been wondering if that really does hold true today since all of the updates that have been made to the average figure. I think it's quite likely that we'll see either some kind of event exclusive color Krillin or a full 2.0 redesign before the end of 2022, but with all of the problems that Piccolo 2.0 had, and the awkward look of the new Tien prototype that was recently teased, I'm nervous that Tamashii and Bandai will screw it up.
Some of the issues I have with the first release of Krillin (do keep in mind I'm only judging from photos and video) is that his gi is way too red, and he looks too tall next to certain figures like Android 18 or Teen Gohan. There's also somethin' about the smiling face that just seems off. Otherwise, he seems awesome. Great range of motion, very expressive, great sculpt, and he comes with his own unique energy effect.
Maybe I could suffice with a "Premium Color" Krillin or an event exclusive version of him, but I just hope to God that they don't decrease the number of hands, faces, or - the worst offense possible - remove the destructo disc effect. Really tho I would love a 2.0 update for him, but there's only a few things I'd like to see changed:
What do you guys think? Will we see a new Krillin sooner, later, perhaps not at all? Will it be a recolor or a full update? Maybe there's even a chance at a new version of him, like a Saiyan armor or a police officer version.
I hope this was okay for one of my very first forum posts. I've always been kinda awkward with communication, and I've only ever been a part of one other online forum before this!

- A less reddish gi
- Slightly shorter sculpt
- A smirking or open-eyed grinning face either in ADDITION to the old face or as a replacement of it
- 2.0-style legs
- Not removing the energy effect please good lord do not remove it
