Isn't it? Thanks, I appreciate that. Actually I'm surprised, the chest/back part just slid right onto Jakks King Cold's waist joint. Fit like a glove. Now I gotta paint a white line to do the base of his armor. I might have to do some mods to the head joint. Or Ginyu's neck. Right now I can't get it to stay in place too well.

I'd recommend you mod the Ginyu, just due to Cold's value. I checked and there are three listings on eBay when you search for JAKKS King Cold. They range from $250-$350 (though I think one was an auction and the other had Freeza as well.)

Ginyu's neck then? All right. I do want to avoid having to get a 3RD Jakks King Cold lol. This is my one and only shot. My second Jakks King Cold is for my collection, so he's not getting touched or dismantled.
So I'll probably just carve a bigger hole where the head goes, and then immediately put in and tighten the final screw in the back. I just need to make a few paint fixes and then bingo he'll be done. I'll just post a pic of him with my First Form Frieza bursting armor action figure, should be fun!

Double-post triple-time lol.
Yeah, I might have to super-glue King Cold's head on and sacrifice its articulation. There's absolutely no way in heck that this head will stay on otherwise. I don't think I have a choice now. That ball joint messes everything up. And his chin chips the paint away on the torso when I turn it anyhow.
It'll just be slightly reminiscent of the Saga Continues reissues of SBC that's all lol.
I just wish I had a sturdier solution however.
Oh well, at least I have articulated feet, knees, legs, tail, hands, shoulders and forearms though.
So after I force his damn head to stay still (!), I'm a line of white paint and a cape loop away from possibly finishing this figure. Still no word on whether or not I should add gold buttons though!

You could always use a hot glue gun to glue the head on the neck, and then if you one day want to take the figure apart and put it back to normal being a Jakks figure, you can, without any damage to the head. Hot glue can also be sculpted and trimmed with a knife to some extent, and it won't discolor or harm the plastic head.

...How did I not think of that? Thanks! I think I have one of those! I just have to find out if I still have glue stick for it! I was reading through your tutorials thread and thought of getting, and using, epoxy but I kinda like this solution better! Thanks my man! And I've thought about it, and yes. I will paint on some gold buttons on his cape. I thought of doing the back of the cape red, like his real appearance, but paint will stiffen the cape: not what I want. I have one of the loops of the cape that's broken, so I was thinking also of cutting them off and hot-gluing them to the FRONT of the armor only. Otherwise I can't remove the armor and thus the point of making this figure will be moot lol Also, I do have my other Jakks King Cold, so this figure will be permanent.

UPDATE! Cape and head are now cemented onto the figure's body! I had to slightly modify the cape because I stupidly glued the cape to (the front only) his armor without first checking if the horns fit lol. Oh well... I'm only one line of paint from completing this figure. What y'all think?

It looks weird. Torso and neck are too short.

Okay! Update time! REMOVABLE BATTLE ARMOR KING COLD (TRUNKS SAGA (Z)] (Jakks King Cold + Irwin/Bandai Blasting Energy Action Ginyu figures)
So I raised his torso with another piece from Ginyu, and also glued the head slightly higher into the neck hole, which I've "flooded" with hot glue to make sure it stays. The waist is now glued on, because of the peg that holds in place being too short, with the exception of the armor of course! And there you have it. My Removable Battle Armor King Cold custom is complete. I'm proud of this one Pic spam next!

Can you take a photo of the custom standing next to the Jakks King Cold?

Can you take a photo of the custom standing next to the Jakks King Cold? Sure!
The Jakks figure is ever so slightly taller.

I think if you built up the hot glue and sculpted a neck, he'd look better. What you can do is cut a hot glue stick the height you want for the neck, glue it on the torso, and add a mountain of hot glue around it, that looks more like a neck. Then glue the head on. It's not the way to get a great quality sculpt, but it sure is fast and easy!
