Hi everyone! I've been collecting Dragonball figures for years now, mostly SH Figuarts but anything else that's in the same kind of scale works for me. I especially like to have characters that aren't super common, and so I've started to work on making my own custom figures.. I've made quite a few and I'll post some pictures in this thread but since I just finished working on two customs today I thought I'd start with those first.. Namek Krillin and Appule / Apple from Frieza Force.  I know Krillin is TINY on Namek but I always though it was ridiculous how he's almost the same height as 8 year old Gohan on Namek even though he's much taller in other arcs. I shortened the legs on the figure until he was about a head shorter than Vegeta (who's already pretty short) and he's about the same height as the Krillin SH Figuarts so that works for me. For Appule / Apple, I made the head from scratch but the body is Saiyan Saga Vegeta. I might customize another to make a Cui / Kiwi figure too!  Hope you like them! |

Thanks for the nice comments, it means a lot to me! As requested I've taken another picture of Appule, closer to show the face's expression a little better.  I'll share another pair of custom figures I made previously : King Cold and Yardrat Goku.  And I was very happy today to receive my 3 Great Saiyaman figures and decided to reorganize my Buu Saga display, and at the same time share my recent Spopovich custom. He'll soon be joined by a Yamu custom (once I receive the materials, hopefully soon!)   I hope you like these too, and feel free to comment and ask questions if you have any! Always happy to share with the community of Dragonball fans! |

Really cool customs!! I still need to make an Appule for my collection! Who's torso (upper body) did you use for your King Cold custom? King Cold is a mix of two figures. I originally got the Sofubi Frieza 2nd form but he ended up a bit too large for Figuarts scale, and I got the HQDX Frieza instead. I also had a HQDX Ginyu that was way too big too, so I took Sofubi Frieza's legs, arms, head and tail and Ginyu's armored torso and they ended up scaling together perfectly, the rest was just repainting work. I still need to one day work on a cape for him but I can't seem to get around to doing that, maybe when I finish some other characters I'll get back to him. I whipped up a quick Training Blue Gi Gohan custom after receiving my Great Saiyaman Figuarts, here it is.  I'm probably also going to work on an articulated one with the SSJ head for the Broly Second Coming version, at some point. And been working on another custom that I'll share here once it's finished because it's a whole new level of sculpting for me and I'm not sure yet how it'll turn out. Thanks again for the comments! |

Finished working on my Super Trunks custom, ever since I grabbed the Demoniacal Fit head I wanted to customize a Trunks body to go with it but the task seemed a bit daunting. Here's the result, I resculpted the muscles with epoxy resin and repainted the whole thing, he'll go well with my future Semi-Perfect Cell hopefully.  Here he is in the larger display (that's the Saiyan, Android and Super sagas part of my collection, the rest is in another display case) :  Hope you like this one too! |

Hi everyone! I was getting restless waiting on several figures and materials to show up for some customs I'm really excited to get into, and I stumbled upon an old Tamashii Body-kun I had purchased months ago in hope of someday tackling a custom Janemba figure. So there it is!  Close-up of the face.  The old Janemba isn't super happy about getting replaced....  And the starting figure...  For those interested in the how, I used a Tamashii body-kun for the starting figure, the head is from the Janemba Adverge figure, and the tail was taken from the old figure. The rest is all resculpting with epoxy resin and repainting. I hope you'll like this one, keep the awesome comments coming! |
