People seem to like it, so hopefully it continues and expands. I know that it's my favorite line of figures. I wish there were at least 9 new figures per year...

Who? Piccolo? I believe he appeared this way until his transformation, that made his belt black, antennas curve upward, and his skin more yellow. I'd have to watch the movie again to be sure. I meant the traditional anime colors with the pink pads on his arms instead of the manga yellow. |

I wouldn't be surprised if we get a general-release wave with Gohan Beast, Orange Piccolo, and one or both of the Gamma androids.

Beast Gohan and the Gammas would be super easy releases since the only new things that would be needed are the heads while the droids also share a body mould.

I'm still hoping that Orange Piccolo comes out in the Dragon Stars line. While I'd still buy an Evolve Orange Piccolo just because I've bought every other release... I'd greatly prefer the larger size of a Dragon Stars one. There's no way that they could make him much larger than Evolve SS Broly or Jiren since the plastic blister dictates the maximum size of figures in this line, and that would be pretty small for him. I'd like to see a Piccolo Power Awakening (with yellow-green skin, fuchsia outfit, and black sash), as well as Beast Gohan, Gamma 1, and Gamma 2. Based on Dokkan Battle, this transformed form of Piccolo (that preceded Orange Piccolo) is called Power Awakening Piccolo. If I remember right, he gained a symbol on the back of his shirt in this form, so I'd like them to include that on the figure as well.  Based on Xenoverse 2, he is more muscular in this form, so I guess a repaint wouldn't work. They'd need to make a new mold.   If they don't make this version, it would be logical to just get an Irwin, Jakks, or UFS Piccolo and repaint him. Those figures are all more muscular than the dainty Evolve figures, so any of them would work perfectly. |

I've held out on collecting this line due to the slowness of their releases. If they were faster and had a broader range of characters, I might've suckered myself into collecting them, but when they release ~3 figures a year, it's kinda hard to get into.

Having thought about it a little, I feel like they'd be more likely to make one of the Gammas general-release and the other one a store exclusive.

It would be cool if Gamma 2 was a Walmart exclusive and Gamma 1 was a Target exclusive because of their coloration. Namekian Dragon if you have Irwin and Jakks figures, they are absolutely worth collecting before their prices end up going higher for older releases. If you don't have them... well... they are still a lot more posable than Dragon Stars figures and they honestly have really good sculpts. |

I find this a bit interesting. I bought my SS Gohan from Walmart on 8/17/23 and to this day (9/11/23), Walmart still doesn't have a page on their site to buy the figure online. This is very different from SS Vegeta (who I've never seen in a physical Walmart store), because I would not have been able to get SS Vegeta at retail price without ordering him on Walmart's website. I would have had to have bought him from somebody on here or on Ebay to get him if I couldn't buy him from walmart.com. When I look at my purchase history online, this is the link that Walmart uses for the SS Gohans I purchased: www.walmart.com/ip/Dragonball-Evolve-5-Exclusive-Figure-GohanSuper-Saiyan-Gohan/3207903588 but as you can see... (at least right now...) the page "could not be found". I question whether or not this link will ever work. I kind of wonder if it will work in October. Why? Because supposedly this wave of Evolve figures was supposed to become available in October. The Target exclusive Ultimate Gohan hasn't been released yet. He's not on Target's website yet, and since there aren't any on ebay yet... he definitely isn't available in retail Target stores yet either. |

Sounds like a typical case of something being in the system but the web developers for the online site have either not caught up or haven't gotten the memo to put the actual page live. I deal with similar stuff a lot here where in-store items can be physically available but the online site has no listing for them.

Here's what they look like if I put them side-by-side with Photoshop. Piccolo's not looking too big since they made SS Gohan shorter than Goku. I know Piccolo is not a very tall character in the movie (for whatever unknown reason), but this puts him at closer to Tien's height than Piccolo's.  If I combine with this picture from SDCC...  We can see that Piccolo truly will scale approximately like that with Gohan. So while he looks great, he sure is small. He was taller than this in DBZ's Frieza Saga.  Also, Toywiz has Piccolo listed on their site for $17.99 and has this image  |
