I've read the manga up to part 5, and I've seen all of the recent anime. I really enjoy it, so for me the anime is perfect. The little lady loves it, too. I made her watch the first few episodes, and she was hooked and watched the rest of it with me. Looking forward to the rest of Stardust Crusaders this year. And, the figures are pretty great. I picked up the reissue of Part IV Jotaro, in the white. Absolutely fantastic! I was thinking about skipping the first anime part and going into stardust crusaders right ahead. Will I miss anything or is it fine? DON'T skip the first 2 parts. Phantom Blood is short, and gives you a lot of history you will need for Stardust Crusaders. And, Battle Tendency is just awesome. WHAM is great, and missing out on Ceasar is like missing out on the cool secondary character like Vegeta or Piccolo. There are recurring characters in each part, but it's further ahead in time. Seeing how the characters acted when they were younger and in the earlier parts is nice.

jonmichael thanks man, I'll make sure to watch them first. takezo I'm gonna give it a try. If you like violent anime then you should definitely watch Tokyo Ghoul. I just finished it last week. Its an amazing anime IMO. In addition to its violence and gore, its very deep. Season 2 is starting next week.

Finished kill la kill about a week ago. I loved it although I wasn't much of a fan about the outfits and a scene or two involving the mother. Although I have a question, did ryuko and mako end up together?
So now that I finished naruto Shippuden about 2 weeks ago and kill la kill, I'm anime-less? Any suggestions about what to watch next? I've finished Dragonball/Z/Gt, Bleach, Inuyasha, Naruto/Shippuden, and Kill la Kill.
Ive also started a few but I don't remeber which ones exactly. Fairy tail was one but I stopped because the english dub want caught up or something. Now that I watched NS in Japanese I guess I can go finish that one as well. Unless it's still ongoing?

You should watch death note and Fullmetal alchemist if you still haven't because they're awesome classics. I would also recommend watching attack on Titan and tokyo ghoul but they're still running so I don't know how you'd feel about that.

Fullmetal Alchemist has metal in it... and it's full of awesome. That's where the name comes from.

yeah full metal brotherhood and death note are Great suggestions! I also recommend you give attack on titan a shot. Though i would recommend you give Anohana or Clannad(both seasons) a shot. Those are not as intense as the above anime, but they will rip your heart out and stomp all over it

What's the difference between FMA and FMA Brotherhood? I heard Brotherhood was a reboot. I'm guessing Brothehood is the one I should watch?

Withe the exception of some key plot points, they're almost entirely different. I would just watch both of them.

Recently I've been watching Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Anyone here a fan? It's pretty strange and quirky but i ended up loving that about it. On the outside it looks like a testosterone fueled cluster fuk, complete with innumerable ripped men in strange but oftentimes effeminate clothing, fighting and screaming. However, it is regarded as a masterwork in Japan. It was serialized in the mid 80's with most golden age Jump manga, yet is still running today. In 2012, the series was finally adapted for anime by David Production, beginning with the first two arcs. They are currently in the middle of the 3rd arc, Stardust Crusaders, which is considered the most popular and the only to receive an OVA prior. There are 8 arcs, each focusing around a unique titular "JOJO" who is in someway a descendent of the original. The characters have very unique design, and the animation is constantly shifting in style and color palette. Additionally, the majority of characters names are direct references to rock and metal bands! Peep it if you're looking for a fun and relatively new anime that has a bright futuro y some of the best opening theme's ever!!

I have been trying to watch it for some time but for some reason I haven't come around to just yet. So far I've only watched the first two episodes of phantom blood and I love them. Like you said, amazing soundtrack! I love the character designs and animation. The figures made for the show are badass too (they're what made me give the show a look in the first place)
You got me psyched man. I'll go watch it now!

I love JoJo. Read the manga up to part 4, and watched some of the older anime and ova. This new series blows all the older anime away. I love how the colouring is done, and the voice actors are just perfect. I made the little lady watch it, and she became addicted lol. She watched all of the first season in a week, and ever since we've been watching each new episode on friday. Just don't skip any parts, because even though each part is a new JoJo relative/descendant some characters are recurring and you get a lot of background information and history.
