This is sooooo exciting. These figures are 120 mm tall, which is around 4.7 inches. We're finally getting a 5 inch scale Mai!p-bandai.jp/item/item-1000122848/  Each is around $17 or $18 USD. |

Not exactly my scale, but I'm curious how Mai would look next to some of my figuarts. She'll likely be a bit small, but I'm wondering if I could get away with it since Trunks is also a touch small.

120 mm is pretty tall, so maybe! She's probably a little big for an Irwin/Jakks collection, but if I need to cut some height out of her legs, I can do that!
Irwin's Bulma is between 4.25 and 4.5 inches tall, and Mai will be 4.7 inches tall, so around half a head taller. I think I can live with that, but if not... she can always be cut down a little bit!

doomprevails88 can you post your pics of the Bulma you just received here and write your complaints about her? I think others would want to see her compared to your Irwin figures in the pics you sent me.

It scales really well despite its smaller head, and unrealistic proportions. Bulma in high heels SHOULD be taller than Android 18 and others. The tiny feet, big hips, and big chest are the only problems.

I saw a picture of Mai and Videl with other figures from this line on Facebook, posted by someone named Nycc Hrm. Based on Doom's earlier comparison pic, I'm going to say that Mai scales pretty well with Irwin/Jakks, so this is exciting to me. Looks like Videl is too tall to scale and is more akin to Figuarts scale perhaps. Videl is a shorter character than Bulma, Chi Chi, and the others in the anime. Seems like the Android 18 would scale decently especially if you don't like the Irwin one.  I have no particular idea of what height Mai should be as a character. It's been a long time since I've watched DB and I don't recall her ever being next to Bulma in a scene. And I haven't seen that part of Super. Here's an image I found. I find it reasonable to accept that Mai could be a bit taller than the average female character.  And I made this comparison. I want her in my DB display since I don't have a Super display. So, depending on how lazy I am and how much I have to pay for her... I may do nothing or I may make her outfit less form fitting, repaint the eyes, repaint the coat, and shorten the legs a slight amount.  |
